How about if the Habs give up Caufield + Anderson + Suzuki to draft 1st and 2nd to gurantee that they get Slafkovsky?

What?  If you're gunna go bat shit crazy go all out.

I dont want us to trade caufield but that is what NJ for sure wants for 2nd pick.

  2. Would Caufield + Andersson be worth it for us to draft Slafkovsky?

Im sure that is at least the pricetag.

NJ gets a small 30 goal scorer and a powerforward ok for 2nd line.

We get a potential future superstar winger.

I just hope out of a combo of; Pick #33, Calgary's 1st, Florida's 1st and Habs 2023 1st rounder, they can manage one impact top six/top 4-d...either in draft, or in a trade for one.

Lets draft Wright and then trade him to TB for Sergachev because we need D more than C atm.  🤪

Yep. Canes can suck it. The social media gloating over kk is right back in their faces. For now.

I hope Dvorak becomes a good productive "Plekanec"-ish C as well.

If we end up getting pick #3 it will feel a bit of a disappointment and a true lottery feel on who we end up getting and see his development over the years on if we ended up with a good choice. Slafkovsky, Nemec, Savoie will be one of our pick at #3. Let’s just damm win this lottery and go with Wright and tank one more year for the top Two picks in next years draft.

    go Habs go

3rd would feel a bit like a kick in the nuts concidering the season we just endured and then losing Lafleur.

Cmon forum ghosts! We deserve 1st!

Agree. I’m just assuming we won’t be lucky enough to get #1 (we’re the 21st century Habs, after all), but #3 is too re-traumatizing. Give me #2 and, presumably, Cooley.

Im even thinking it would be a good idea to trade #3 (if we sink there) to the yotes for their 1st rounder next year. 🤪

With last night's loss to the Senators, we can now declare the winner of the 16th Annual Prediction Contest!

Dalhabs predicted 74 points and the Habs currently have 49 points with 12 games remaining.

A 12 game winning streak to end the season would leave the Habs with 73 points.

The runner-up is titanfan whose prediction of 76 points is only off by (at least) 3 points.

Thanks, didnt know I was the most pessimistic of us all. Haha

Next year its back to bubble team but with a future with nice prospect pool.

    I hope.

    Mysak 1g (30)

    Roy/Xhekaj/Kapanen 0pts

Heineman still out injured. Only played Feb 17th & March 17th games since becoming a Hab, His team just lost in playoffs.

    World championships if healthy?

I dont think he is good enough to make the team for World championships.

They will make their picks from the players joining team sweden in the european tournaments.
