  1. Theo has been awfully shaky, but we know he is capable of being better. With this homecrowd tonight and finally a win under his belt, he will play better, I can feel it. :ghg:
  2. Ricu's Players to Watch: BOSTON BRUINS: Sergei Samsonov-excellent puck handler and skater will take a bigger role with JT hurt Nick Boynton-the fastest Bruins D-man has probably learned a lesson from all those odd man rushes; he will pinch less tonight Hal Gill-Look for him to play like a goon, and take a shot at Ribs MONTREAL CANADIENS: Richard Zednik-I don't know why, but I think he will get a goal off a rebound tonight Ribs/Blood On the Ice-Yea... Michael Ryder-Now he has the playoff fever in him; his play will infect the others Jose Theodore-He will come up huge tonight after a subpar series so far
  3. Ricu's Keys to winning: -Get Perreault on line two to take the draws, sit JJ, and move Ribs to line 4 -Get Ward, Zed, and Ryder near the net, ALL GAME -Take plenty of shots from the point -Switch up the PP lines! DO SOMETHING to make that work! -Quintal must be our enforcer near the net and has to take out JT -Komi should be in for Bouillion -Establish the long pass -Is it too simple to say we need to collapse on rebounds to give Theo a break? -Theo needs to play the puck more, our D is unreliable in that sense. -Markov needs to play like last game. Quintal needs to play like last decade.
  4. I would rather see Begin on the bench if he is a little hurt. Let Sunny get in and let Langdon roam the ice. :-^
  5. Perreault IN Juneau OUT The Hunchback of Montreal deserves to ride the bench. He has never helped out the team throughout the whole year. Screw playoff experience, what good is it when you can't perform on the ice? I saw him make two noticeable plays in game 3. One was on a nicely setup offensive set, and he had the puck and tried to split the D and go to the net, but instead was held up and never made it 4 feet from the blueline. The other play was he was in the corner and got completely shoved to the ice. He is no help to this team, and Perreault has much value as a setup man and a faceoff winner. Komi IN Bouillion OUT Bouillion may play bigger than his 5 foot 8 frame, but let's face it, Komi is much bigger and much stronger. A playoff game would be good for him as well, as he would come out with a lot of intensity and energy (I got to see him at U of M...wow!). Frankly, I think Quintal will come out with a better night, as I am sure CJ has told him he needs to attack Thornton. He is a physical presence near our own net who we could use. Sundstrom IN Begin OUT Thanks to injury, it seems that Begin could be a scratch. I would rather see us not risk an injury, and put Sunny in. He can be an effective grinder and is good along the corners. ------------------------------ One thing I would like to see is that in the event of a larger lead (3 goals?), I would love to see Langdon out there roughing it up! :ghg::ghg:
  6. We all should know not to listen to Leaf fans. :can:
  7. Fraser...just as bad as the show...should go the way of the show, retire. :-^ (I love this smiley!)
  8. I have seen him on the television...never been out to the Yost for a game (I can't drive yet). And I think I have gotten my opinions across pretty nicely on my first day!
  9. You're nuts if you want Garon to play in net during the playoffs... You look at a pretty good (not the best) Powerplay in the NHL, the Canucks. Completely different. They have full control of the puck the entire time. And they way they set up in the opponenet's zone, behind the net or near the point. You see none of this in the Canadiens PP. Haha, I was the one arguing PM Koivu!
  10. I can only restore sanity in so many people. :/) But Theo was sharp in that last minute, no doubt was it scary. There was no help for him there by the defense, I thought for sure Knuble would get that rebound on the Gonchar blast on one of those faceoffs. But Jose stayed strong! :/)
  11. Those last 30 seconds made me crap my pants! That was SCARY! But we won! :/) :ghg::ghg::ghg::ghg::ghg::ghg::ghg::ghg::ghg:
  12. Wow they are getting picky...that was icing...I guess.
  13. Well, I haven't tasted all the beers out there...according to law, I am not allowed to. :guru:
  14. He has 0 playoff experience and had very few starts this year. I don't think he would be a good choice in net.
  15. Okay, I am an American boy eating a taco while rooting for a Canadian hockey team...I am the poster boy for North America.
  16. Now come on, no way can Garon step in and do the job. I think you are letting your emotions get the better of you.
  17. THEO WAS SQUARED UP PERFECTLY FOR THAT AND HE LET IT THROUGH! ARRRGHHH! Theo has looked shaky though, he has been lucky on a few occassions (one of the Axelsson shots tonight for sure), and the defense has for the most part kept the puck away from the net.
  18. He's nervous because he will soon score a goal... By the way, what's MB? metroboards.com ...don't worry about it, just another message board. There are more Habs fan here anyway. That site is for all teams, but I like this better for Habs talk anyway.
  19. Even I know that and I am not even a day old noob! Look, the bottom line is he is a sniper, and he will pay off in time, as snipers do...it is toughest for them to score goals in the playoffs because playoff goalies are amazing. But he finally got his shot off...two of them.
  20. And it's because they press the net hard! I am DEFINITELY beating my own dead horse, but we have to do that.
