The media since the Nordiques left.
The French language is slowly killing everything in this corrupt Province. The Habs are not exempt.

That was norman flynn not martin lemay. He may have been drunk as well.
Po-tater, po-tato. Deal from a position of strength.

I was listening to Martin Lemay on TSN690. He said he wouldn't be surprised if Price was traded within the next few weeks. That he is maybe healthy and they are waiting on something. If anything they are showcasing Lindgren and the team wants a longer sample size. Otherwise Lindgren will definitely start in Laval. Too bad for Laval local Fucale. McNiven & Lindgren are legit goalies. With Primeau and Hawkey(?) on his heels.
I agree Niemi comes in and tries to take Montoya's job. Hopefully Waite can work some magic. Wouldn't be an awful turn of events to get better than Monty backspots AND let Lindgren eat starts in Laval.
BUT Lindgren is RFA next year. Hopefully 2 maybe 3 years max until UFA. Will Lindgren commit to being Price's shadow until he fades into the sunset? I say trade him while the gettin's good. I feel McNiven is in the proper time cycle and has the skills to be viewed as Price's eventual successor. McNiven/Primeau 2023-24! lmao

Bergevin should fire JJ & Lacroix. A due shake up that would be merited and maybe necessary. Everyone might get shipshape real quick if the axe falls.

It really does seem that Tavares is sort of the last chance for a truly major, core-changing move that could elevate the Bergevin team to 'contender' status. (I'm sure other options are out there, and others will materialize over time, but this is the one that leaps out at you). Perhaps that's what MB has in mind in hoarding cap space, making an eventual JT signing possible.
Now that we have Drouin, who can play W, I wouldn't hesitate to move Pacioretty in such a deal. Price is out of the question (and wouldn't agree to waive his NTC to go there anyway). But I would include almost any other player/prospect in the deal. (Weber being the only one that makes me cavil, because our D would be a tire-fire without him).
Whether we really have the resources to tempt NYI, and whether Tavares could be induced to sign here, are different questions.
If the Habs keep losing, we may see MB trading key assets he would otherwise have used for a deal like this in order to get a second-tier return offering immediate help. e.g., Duchesne. But if he doesn't get fired in the interim, Tavares is basically the last bolt in the quiver that I can see that has the potential to salvage his disastrous tenure.
For sure. I just love to poke the Halak flames every so often lol
In reality. With Price at $10.5M. There is no way Pacioretty is here at $7-9M AND they fix the center ice issue.
Sign and Trade Tavares. 8 yr $9-10M for Pacioretty McCarron Juulsen McNiven and how ever many picks. Get while the gettin's good.

Tavares Leddy Halak 2nd
Price Pacioretty Shaw 5th
muhahahaa

I think because Markov was a foolish twit and didn't hire an agent. This team is in a tailspin. Schlemko being injured as well.
Bergevin is on final notice with me. He had a long leash. The leash runs out at trade deadline. That cap space is his ace in the hole. He better play this hand to perfection.

Morrow, Davidson & Benn just aren't cutting it. I want to see Jerabek & Lernout.
-
Soderberg & 3rd for Shaw
Bjudstad for Shaw & 4th (600K Retained)
Pacioretty Danault Drouin
Hudon Plekanec Lehkonen
Byron Soderberg/Bjudstad Gallagher

Bjudstad?

When they send Mete back to Junior, they call up Jerabek and Schlemko is healthy.. this will look better. Time for a Duchene vs Galchenyuk shake up!
