Two guys who have upped their games amidst injury devastation are Armia and Suzuki.

Agreed. Both players have been playing really well these past few games!

ON a different note, why do I have a sinking feeling that we will lose once more to the Sens? Why can't we win two games in a row?

In a cap-strapped market, this is not an ideal time to try to move the most expensive goaltending contract in league history.  They'd be selling for pennies on the dollar at best.

On that last power play, even when they had the puck in the offensive zone, not one of them even looked at the net with the idea of trying to shoot the puck.  They were more interested in trying to see how many passes in a row they could complete.  That's categorically unacceptable.

The Habs are rich enough to pay for a portion of his salary (ie: 25%)  ;)

  3. Jezus ####ing christ! 2-0...Not like we're gonna have the legs in the 3rd period to come back!

We might make the playoffs, but I don't thing we're gonna last long...especially if we have to play the Leafs in the 1st round!

What Are we waiting for to bench Drouin for a game...and maybe ask Weber to take a game to rest!?

  4. Nice to see our boys come through with a convincing win last night! I was so pissed off when the Hens scored that late goal to rob Allen of that well deserved shutout! In any case, like many have said, the important thing is the two points and the fact that we kept the pressure on the hens throughout the game!

Nice to see Lehkonen and Evans doing well out there! They're working hard and it's paying off!

I hope the coaching staff has finally realized that they should NOT split up the Danault Line!

Lastly, I have to say i'm a little worried about Anderson. 2 goals in 17 games is not what I expected from him. I'd really like to see the Suzuki, Drouin, Anderson line go on tear and score many goals in the next couple of games!

  5. I'm seriously starting to doubt that this team can make the playoffs...and even if we manage to squeak in, we'll be playin' the Leafs and will be wiped out in 4 games!  How can a team dominate so much for the first 12 games and suck so much for the following 18 games?

  6. Just finished watching the highlights. Looks like the boys played a solid game!

Relieved to see Carey playing at the level we know he can play.

Happy to see Danault finally get a goal after 1 full year!

Too bad about Chiarot. I expect Romanov to take his spot next to the captain and Mete to join Kulak on the 3rd pair.

I think tonight's game will really tell us if this team is the real deal. If they can actually win tonight against the Flames, I will be impressed!

It will be fascinating to see how the team responds and what changes Ducharme makes.

I expect to see them win a few games in a row (which is what usually happens when a team makes a coaching change). What I'm currious to see is how they will respond in 5 or 6 games from now!

  8. I have to say i'm a little worried about this move by Bergevin. Seems like a panic move to me. I get that the PP has sucked for the past 5 years and that has been Muller's responsibility. I can understand letting Muller go, but I just don't think firing Julien was the move to do at this time.

Man, with only 1 defenseman out of Chiarot, Edmundson, Kulak, Mete, and Fleury to be protected for the Expansion draft, but with a prospect pipeline of Romanov, Guhle, Harris, Norlinder, Struble, Brook, and Fairbrother, it's gonna be really disappointing if Seattle takes Jake Allen or Paul Byron.

If they take Byron, then that's 3.5 millions$ less on teh payroll for a 31 year odl 4th liner. Don't get me wrong, I really like Byron, but for what he brings at the moment, he's paid too much money!

As some else mentioned, I think most of the league knows by now that Allen isn't as good when he's the number 1 goalie. I think that might make Seattle think twice about taking him and making him their number 1. If they do decide to take him, then we've got Primeau who's waiting in Laval for the big show. By next year, Primeau will have played a full season as the no. 1 guy in Laval and will be more than ready to act as Carey's backup!
