  1. Damn this team is fun to watch! The kids are alright!
  2. Let's not forget that Primeau progressed nicely in Laval last year. One more year(or maybe a half season) in Laval and he might be ready for the big show!
  3. Youbare correct. 2 yrs left on rfa!
  4. What d'yall think about the persistent rumours that P.L. Dubois is gonna be a Hab soon? I know that there have been Dubois to MTL rumours forever, and I normally don't pay attention to them, but for some reason, these latest rumours are making me think that this might happen. What I read was that the Habs offered Dvorak, 2023 1st round pick(the one we got from Florida) and another young prospect (ie. Norlinder) Apparently that wasn't enough for Winnipeg.
  5. Eesh! Not sure what to think of this trade. My first reaction is to be a little pissed. I liked Romy. I guess we'll have to be patient and see what Dach does over the next couple of years! Just looking at his stats, will not convince anyone that this is a good trade. but stats don't tell the whole story!
  6. I don't know how serious this could be, seeing as I read it on Puckers.com. Apparently Hughes had a conversation with the Rangers for Lafrenière. In return the Rangers would get Chiarot and Lehkonen. Is it just me or has Lafrenière's stock dropped alot? I don't see how the Rangers could go for that!?!?!
  7. I don't think Carey Price would've made much of a difference this year...maybe one or two losses less. Not enough to make a difference!
  8. I like the Romy/Kulak pairing. I find that they were getting alot of crap this year. They've been playing well together for a while now!
  9. I feel the same way. I'm 45, and I don't remember a team this bad! Even the 83-84 team (which is basically the first year of the Habs I can actually remember - I was 7-8 yrs old) and the 00-01 team which finished with 70pts, I don't remember them being this bad. I think that the Habs have to make some major changes. I hate to say it, but I think MB needs to sit down with Carey and see if he's be willing to lift his no trade clause. I would also see what I could get for Jeff Petry. At this point, it is clear to me that this team has some serious problems, and they won't make the playoffs. Might as well do everything you can to look at the future!
  10. Yeah, the Habs are worse then the Sabres!! ####ing pathetic performace once again! Our PP looks like shit and the other teams' PP always looks good against us! Ths is gonna be a long season! If we look this bas against the Sabres, imagine what it'll look like against the Bolts, or the Panthers or the Bruins!!!
  11. Sucks to see Perrry go. He was a warrior! I can understand him going to Tampa. He figures its his best chance to get to the SC finals for a 3rd year in a row!
  12. Now that we know that Price isn't going to Seattle and that he was operated on yesterday in NYC, I don'T believe the Habs will be rebuilding anytime soon. Price is expected back in 10-12 weeks, which means he'll be good to go at the beginning of the season! The Loss of Weber will hurt alot, but depending on what Bergevin can accomplish in the off season, we might end up with a better team! Danault is still up in the air. Armia might come back and so might Perry. true! Let's not forget that the Habs had a horrible schedule for the second half of the season (25 games in 42 days, or something like that) We don't realize just how hard that must have been! We'll be in a tougher division next year, but D.D. will have had a full training camp to get his system in place!
  13. This might sound like a stupid question, but who's to say Shea won't be back for the 2022-23 season! A complete year off might do some real good to his tired body!
  14. At this point, I think it's clear the Habs lost the Sergachev/Drouin trade. JD hasn't lived up to the hype. I hope everything is good with him, but I think the best thing is to put him in the best position to shine at the start of next season and trade him when his value is highest. I don't have anything against Drouin, but this Stanley Cup run has proved to me that the Habs don't need Drouin.
  15. This might be a stupid question, and maybe somebody already asked it, but I'm gonna ask anyways. If a player is offered performance bonuses, how do the bonuses get applied on the Cap? Iet's say the Habs sign Perry to a 1 year extension at 1 million$ and also offer him a 200,000$ bonus if the Habs make the finals again. If the Habs make the finals, does that 200K bonus count against the cap? I assume it does, it's just that we almost never hear of performance bonuses anymore (compared to the pre-cap era)
  16. I think the best think for Drouin is to get out of MTL. He clearly can't handle the pressure. I would leave him unprotected. If Seattle doesn't take him, play him next year and put him in the best situations to shine. ONce he shows that he seems to be back, they you can trade him!
  17. Last night was tough to watch! Proud of the boys and the way they played! Let's hope we can get a little more magic next year!
  18. Game over. I'm afraid to say that Tampa is not only better, but they're getting all the lucky bounces.
  19. What I was afraid of has happened. That late goal killed all the momentum we had built in the 2nd.
  20. I don't want to believe it, but I have to admit, Tampa is either way better than us, or they're incredibly lucky!
