Actually the Slegr one he was screened on by Bouillon and there wasn't another player for a mile. Bouillon even moves his leg at the last second making it look like he's going to block it but doesn't he should've either gotten out of the way or just wen tdown on the ice to block the shot. The Glen Murray shot which tied the game that Knuble scored on that was unscreened but Markov got over worked and Theodore was sitting to far in the net on a play like that gotta be out by where a deflection would've happened. Anyways the puck sat there for a second just enough time for him to pounce on it but he failed to do so. Anyways what Kovalev did was stupid last night but I still want a top foward back for next season and he seems like the only chance we get one so mine as well offer him a contract as long as it's a bit less from last season. He definitly can't go out asking for more after this season and then costing a team a game in the playoffs.(although it never should've gotten close to that).

Dowd won that faceoff. Rivet 6-2 201 lbs gets overworked by a 5-8 180 lbs foward give me a break that ssomething you should've had. Plus what was that icing? You gotta get it to center ice not ice the puck with 1 minute left and he does this almost every single game i even remember once he fired it so hard i think against Islanders that it hit the netting at the other end of the ice. The game never should've went to OT. This team can beat Boston 5 on 5 but they keep worrying about getting powerplays that they do dive at certain times and no one can deny it. I won't call Kovalev a diver but what he did was uncalled for yea it might have hurt but you don't skate like that just fall to the ice or do something don't skate into a damn player. Also Theodore keeps giving up these weak goals what the hell is going on with that? Then the defense in front of him is killing him at times. that 3rd goal to tie the game Rivet lost a battle and Markov lost a battle. On Slegrs goal the worst one possible Bouillon SCREENS THEODORE what the hell is he doing and not only that he trys to stop the puck but hesitates in doing so thus making it even harder for Theodore to pick up. Then Bouillon goes off the ice when the puck is coming towards montreals zone and leaves Rivet out to dry. There were countless defensive errors which were so stupid. Anyways I really hope that Kovalev doesn't get discouraged by last night and that the teamates, coach, and fans don't basically run him out of Montreal. If anything resign him next season and he's going to want to make up for last nights game. We need a top line foward with Koivu and finally we found one and finally after 12+ games they started to click together. I do not want to see a rookie or Bulis on Koivus line next season I want to see a proven top line foward. If there are going to be any rookies on this team next year I think it should be Kastistyn and on the 2nd line with Ribs and Ryder. Also need to improve our Defense half these guys rarely play the body when they should and get overworked easily by big fowards. Need to get atleast 1 more defensemen that is a physical force for next season. I think Quintal because of Free agency and 1 of Rivet/Bouillon should be gone next year the other one being the 7th defensemen. Komisarek getting a good amount of playing time to hopefully keep his development going and if he fails you got one of those two to replace him. I just don't know how to explain the constant blowing of games that we are leading with the last minute. Whose fault is it? Theodores? Defense? Lack of Size? Lack of Leadership? Gaineys gotta figure it out and fix it in the offseason because i'm getting tired of it. Carolina beat us when we should've won. Boston beating us when we should be winning. And there are countless times during the last 3 regular seasons where we blew leads with 40 seconds left and a lot of times we go on to lose it in OT.

Thats what i have been saying all season I don't understand how we were once ranked 7th we rarely ever have possesion for more then 10 seconds and half the time we can never even enter the zone.

I know seasons not over but heres my wish for next years top two lines. Zednik-Koivu-Kovalev Kastsitsyn-Ribeiro-Ryder(PLEASE!!!!!!) anyways I think this team is going to have a good future. These blowing games will improve after the team gets some more experience gotta remember we are an extremely young team which is pretty awesome since were just going to get better and better. With the right moves we could become a contender. With those top 2 lines i think all we would miss is a 3rd line Center whose Physical/big/faceoff specialist, 1 more defensemen, and 1 more Begin can we clone him? to make us a contender.

I think Quintal is definitly gone due to being a free agent. YOu have to have atleast 1 veteran on the blueline so I can see Brisebois coming back. I actually wouldn't mind having Bouillon coming back as a no 7 defensemen because we do have some defensemen that tend to get injured. Markov, Brisebois, Komisarek, Souray, Free Agent is what i'm expecting to see coming back. Although i don't know how they will move Rivet since he's part of Koivus group there. But the defense has to improve so someone has to go. Komisarek hopefully can get more minutes next year and develop even better. I'm hoping Komisarek gets in next game and shows us he can play physical. And I really hope we can atleast win game 5 so he can get 2 games minimun experience of NHL Playoffs.

I too think that Rivet had a fairly strong game except for that goal where we blew the game. But he doesn't play strong nearly half the games of the season. The talent might be there but the physical play isn't and i've never seen someone so indecisive. During the season I never saw someone hesitate so much on whether to take the body or take the puck, shoot or pass, get back or pinch. He honestly looks clueless more then half the games the few he looks like he could be a stud.

Habs = Choke artists. How many leads have we blown this year or games we were even up more then 2 goals by? Throw in 2 years ago our terrible blow job to Carolina the year i think we should've been in the cup finals. This year 2 of the last 3 games we choke and 1 game we almost choked. Getting tired of always sitting back and it not working. Any solutions to solve our continous choking?

I don't go blaming habs players for diving but the one by Kovalev that one was bad. When you look at it at full speed he barely gets hit and if he did it made contact with his Glove. he was just trying to draw a call there anyways he's a pussy and htats already known aroudn the league so maybe he was already hurt. But whatever we lost and he atleast gave us something to cheer about for a good amount of time. If montreal goes on to win it's great if not it's going to be another offseason of saying god damnit we should've won that series and went on to the cup finals. We choke so much towards the end of the game and thats something we gotta stop from here on into the future. Best way to do that is to build up the defense. I think Rivet, Brisebois, Quintal can all be gone by next season not saying they all suck but contract situations on some of those players and the fact that Rivet isn't that good i expect them to be upgraded. I really thing Witt could've taken us to the next level with our defense but oh well missed opportunity.

Well like i said about 100x this team needs to improve it's defense. Rivet should go and i really wish we would've gotten Witt. There are a few fowards we need improvements over but i'm not gonna go blaming any tonight. I still think next year Gainey goes out to make this team a bit Bigger up front especially at 3rd line Center some big guy that is good at faceoffs. I say resign Kovalev but send him to hollywood first for acting lessons becuase that was pathetic.

And a terrible acting job kills us. That cost us the series.

What an OT period great at both ends. I almost had a heart attack when Bouillon had a bad change and it was a 2 on 1 against Rivet. Rivet did play a good game up until the 3rd period when he failed to clear the puck once and iced it when he shouldn't have. He did fan on a few pucks here guess a bit nervous but a decent all around game. KOVALEV oh man has he finally returned all he needed was a few shots to the head like i said. He looks better then he did on Pittsburgh. Maybe Julien got to him becuase he's playing both ends of the ice and how many times before have we seen Julien take a guy and sit him down or put him on the 4th line and then the guy came out and played awesome. Ribeiro, Ryder, Zednik, and now Kovalev. Get him signed quickly becuase he's shown these few games that even if he does suck during the regular season your gonna get the real kovalev no matter what during the playoffs. If Kovalev didn't do anything Sather would've looked really bad but now he looks like a genious. Now just keep it up and hopefully he's back here and maybe generates more Chemistry with Koivu and Zednik.

he was barely screened you can see the player wide open coming in for a shot and he saw it as clear as day. Theodore just stood there while Knuble was able to take another shot. Theodore should've stopped that. It was his and Markovs fault on that goal. And Dowd won the faceoff and Rivet should've been quicker to dump that. Just a complete Choke by 3 of 6 players on the ice. I'm waiting for the real Theodore to show up for this series. It seems we got the real Kovalev but lost the real Theodore. Half of Theodores goals were weak can't have weak point shots going in on you 5 hole on a butterfly goaltender this time of the season.

I have seen the replay he stops the intial puck Markov fails to take his man out but the puck is right by theodore. He has to take that puck and cover it in fact he does the worst thing possible he moves his left leg and if he didn't he would have had that puck.

Jose Theodore Choking again. How many weak goals is he going to give up this series? Game 2 should've been ours game 3 we dominated yet he made it close. Game 3 we give him a 3 goal lead and he gives up weak goals. That last goal he should've had it was right in front of him weak shot and he gave up a crappy backhander where the guy couldn't even see it gotta pounce on that and cover it.

Kovalev must must must get 20 minutes of playing time on the top line and 1st line powerplay time he must get going for this team to have success. Habs must come out strong i knew that the bad streak at the end of the season was going to carry into the playoffs they played with no heart. Tonight we will see if Julien really is a top coach at the NHL lvl if these guys come out flying it's all because of him. He's gotta get this team pumped up and going and they need to find the intensity and heart they played with just before that losing streak. If they don't come out flying in the 1st period i know this sounds stupid but i'm praying that a boston player takes a cheap shot at one of the habs and hurts him for a few games. Yes i know praying for a habs to get hurt but that seems to be when the habs wake up the most when the opposing team is taking cheap shots and attempting to hurt players this team seems to take it up a notch when that happens. Also could the habs be playing bad because they are just warn out? Is it because a decent amount of players are on the small side and the rest of the team hasn't played this many games before in a single season? Thats basically waht happened in Carolina the refs screwed us and we sort of were worn out.

Actually i think that Perreault-Dowd-Kovalev line is more or less our 4th line. With playoffs now your gonna see more matchups like montreal played in the early part of the season. So expect Begin-Juneau-Ward to see Thornton Murray. Thats also exactly what i wanna see a defensive line out there shadowing those guys because that seems to be when we have our most sucess. Also remember Begin has already gotten under Thorntons skin so he might be able to draw a few powerplays for us and basically help keep those guys off the score sheet. Plus you must have someone out there that is willing to throw their body around and hit guys when going against Thornton and Murray if any of our other lines are out there those guys will just have a field day. So exepect Juneau begin ward to get 17 minutes in the game. Perreault and those other guys about 12 and then Kovalev might get around 15 minutes part of which are from powerplay unless he catches fire

Key Players in our Boston Matchup: Craig Rivet Stephane Quintal Steve Begin Yes thats right those two players. These two players are gonna have to play extremely physical and step up their game. Of course i would add Souray he will play physical but you know that boston is going to take a lot of cheap shots at him becuase thats what they are a cheap team. Thats why Quintal must do exactly what he did last night protect Souray since souray cannot fight only throw hits. So it's going to be up to Rivet and Quintal to throw their bodies around and protect their players like never before. Actually I wouldn't mind Dressing 7 defensemen with Rivets back spasms replace Langdon with Komisarek give him some defensive shifts. Also let him go out and fight if necessary it'd be ncie getting him some playoff experience. Plus his size can be used against this team. As for steve begin everytime i watch a playoff series and we lose i never say ###### their star player it's always some 4th line player that kills you. It's the player that has energy to score a goal here and there it's the player that pisses you off so much that your team starts taking shots at him and take a penalty. So it's going to be up to him to step it up. On a side note our best player against Boston has actually been Craig Rivet who leads the team with 2 goals against them including one ot winner which i'm sure many people can remember.

It's about time we showed up and boy did we need it. Finally playing with some heart out there and the top two lines are skating very well which they need. Now if we could only get Kovalev going.

See this is the problem Gainey somewhat screwed himself by adding to much depth to this team so Julien is forced to juggle lines like crazy to try to make everyone happy. Think of it this way if Julien had traded either dackell,juneau,sundstrom, or Perreault during deadline for either pick, prospect or defensemen Kovalev would most likely be on the 1st line every game and our 3rd/4th lines would be set. It's making it hard for this team to develop chemistry because their not together long enough. Julien is constantly trying to find room for Dagenais, Perreault, dackell, Langdon, begin, ward etc.

Another damn lose. Atleast it was alittle bit of a better effort and the refs seem to be to much of a factor in the game. The only thing that looks like it has improved over the last 2 weeks is probably the penalty kill. I can tell you one thing we better get the habs team from early March in order to go anywhere if the team continues to play like this we aren't going to go very far might not even win a single playoff game. The saddest part is were giving all these teams we might play in the playoffs the early upper hand becuase now they know they can beat us and no one underestimates a team in the playoffs so don't expect that to happen. I'm now praying for NJ in the playoffs because their the last team we played good against and they have trouble scoring and if we play a good game defensively we should be able to win. Last Game of the season Julien has to try some different things. I wanna see Kovalev for a full game with Koivu and Zednik he's not going to do much on the 3rd line. I also would like to see Bulis with Ribeiro and Ryder. I wanna see the old 3rd line back for a game of sundstrom-juneau-dackell. Then i wanna see on the 4th line either Langdon-Dowd-Ward or Ward-Dowd-Begin(if healthy).

it's 1-0 Philly. Habs had a powerplay didn't score but it was the best one i saw in quite a while. This team is finally looking like they have more desire to play tonight then they have the last 5-7 games.

I smell a Kovalev goal tonight Brashear hit him in the head a bit and i said someone needed to do that to wake him up. What the hell is with all these damn penalties 3 penalties in the first like 7 minutes of the 2nd.

Am i routing against montreal? NO. So how am i jumping off the bandwagon? Considering i've been a fan of the habs practically since i was born and have always cheered for them. I'm just stating the obvious. I don't care that Kovalev isn't playing good putting up points but he's not even trying thats what pisses me off. When you see a 6 million dollar player that the habs go out and trade for and he doesn't even try. Then to top it off i get to go one channel down and watch Balej who i was a huge fan of ask anyone get double shifted and playing amazing. Not to mention he now has 4 points on the season while Kovalev has really 1 since 2 of his were empty net. I'm always going to cheer for the habs but it is pissing me off watching this team play with 0% heart, 0%intensity, and 100% Laziness and arrogance. By the way i said before deadline the habs needed another defensemen but no everyone said it's fine. Yea it's really nice watching Dykhuis back out there and Rivet the defensemen who can never make up his mind out there. Not to mention half the defense is sick and Souray is probably playing hurt.

Theres a huge difference of having a 2 game losing streak going into the playoffs and a 7 game losing streak very very very big difference. Throw in the fact that we just got Koivu back for the playoffs really. These games are important gotta go into the playoffs on a high. On a side note i'd really like to see Langdon dressed next two games. Teams are taking free runs at Koivu and the rest of the players giving them no room to move. Langdon needs to be dressed to put a little fear in the opposing team. Look at all the free runs boston took at us last game and now just recently a few players were beating up on Koivu and it only took Rivet 40 minutes to realize it.

I can't watch anymore. Kovalev = downfall of this team. He has rubbed off on the entire team and they are all from top to bottom playing lazy. Theres not a single player on this team that looks good. And Julien has to continue doing his job it's his job to get this team motivated and get that chemistry back. We have the worst powerplay in the league i'd just like to add. This team will get swept in the first round unless someone steps up and and gets this team going. Usually thats the coaches job and the captains job and the star players job and the goaltenders job. But I haven't seen any of them for the past week plus.
