  1. Holy hyperbole Batman! Is O'Byrne receiving death threats right now? Is his life in danger? Please...keep the exaggerations to a minimum. The bolded part makes a lot of sense, and provides a good argument for booing players on the opposition. Anything to get an edge right? As far as Komi goes, he was indeed terrible when he first came up. Maybe worse than O'Byrne. He just never had a spark that would have ignited the boo birds as O'Byrne did last night. Please, we haven't attracted UFAs because Bob has been unwilling to fork over the dough. If professional athletes are that worried about being thrown under the bus by fans, then you wouldn't have anyone wanting to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox of the world. Look, I was disappointed with the O'Byrne chants last night as well. It's impossible to know how many fans were chanting and I genuinely felt terrible for the guy. The bottom line is, if I'm paying 100 bucks of my hard earned money, add in another 20 bucks for a couple of beers, there's a good chance I'm extremely upset when the Habs don't pull it out. Would I have chanted? I doubt it. Do i understand where these fans are coming from? Sure do. It goes both ways. Right now? "Habs fans suck, no class, omg they booed the poor kid, riots last year, booed the anthem move the team" After the Rangers comeback game last year? "Wow best fans in the world!, stuck with their team even when down 5-0, willed the team back into the game, everyone must love to play in Montreal!"
  2. Kovalev has been terrible this season, but this was one of his best games and the team certainly was working hard tonight. They don't have much confidence right now and missed numerous opportunities, but the confidence will come back eventually and then it won't matter if we score a late one on our own net.
  3. I think you just managed to eclipse O'Byrne for failure of the night.
  4. ugh another shootout... Tanguay, Koivu, AKost please.
  5. Wow great shifts by the 3rd and 4th line...now the Isles get a PP...
  6. Just gotta get our confidence/swagger back. Don't worry itll come.
  7. Ugh 3-2. Then Andrei picks up his own rebound and puts it in on a wraparound, only problem was the official somehow blew the whistle as soon as the puck struck McDonald
  8. Looks like we've gone back to using the same lines 5 on 5 as on the PP (with exception of Lang on the second unit, Tangs on the point). We did this last year and seemed to be getting away from this so far this season. The PP looks ten times better tonight though.
  9. Just as this team appears to be waking up too...
  10. Nice response to the Isles goal, and now a PP! Pleky looks like a different player than what we've seen so far this year, this is only based on three shifts but hopefully he can keep it up. O'Byrne and Brisebois continue to give the opposition chances
  11. Ugh, another Calvillo choke. I love em but man, 1-5 in grey cups now... Congrats to the Stamps, well deserved. I was really glad for Burris, his post-game interview almost brought me to tears myself. I like to think that I inspired him to get things when I met him at last year's Grey Cup. I drunkenly told him to "keep on truckin"...must have been bulletin board material for sure.
  12. Theory of a deadman is a waste of a show. Neil Young should do it till he dies IMO... Pretty evenly played half...Noise level seems to be making more of a difference than I thought. Anyone else think Richardson has NFL written all over him? That guy seems out of place in this league to be honest. GO ALS!
  13. Lets set the tone for the rest of the game with a PP goal early in the second. GO :hlogo: GO
  14. Ugh. This team badly needs another D man, that is becoming quite clear. Other than that? I don't know what to say but it seems like half the team will show up one night, then the other half will show up the next night. Very few players seem to be giving a good effort night in night out and the talent will only take them so far.
  15. Momentum starting to shift! Go Als! And a 62 yard punt return TD!!!
  16. My tourtiere pie just came out of the oven. It smells like a comeback.
  17. we've come back from worse. At the very least i want to see BGL earn his $$$
  18. Those hits 3 or 4 feet from the boards can often be just as dangerous as the one kosto had on Van Ryn This should piss Kovy off mightily though so I wouldn't be surprised to see him produce a couple of goals tonight.
  19. Pretty wide open game though so that should benefit us in the long run, as it always seems to do against the Bruins.
  20. not sure whether to blame dandy or komi so ill blame both. dandy left him in a brutal spot though.
  21. Should have clarified, they vote by mail ONLY. No polling stations... Puts a lot of trust in the postal service...
