  1. Armia to the dressing room after his head got jammed into the boards. Because our happiness must come with a price, of course.
  2. Frolik is a safety blanket. He's playing mistake-free minutes, making simple plays, and keeping Ducharme's blood pressure down when he's on the ice. Those other guys could probably offer more positives but their negatives are unknown.
  3. Petry is due for a goal and he's playing like he knows it.
  4. Allen's looking tired, but it's well past time for the offense to bail out the goaltending.
  5. Might take a few of those broken plays to beat Hellebuyck enough for the win tonight. Good news is that Winnipeg's defense also implements the Headless Chicken strategy.
  6. We might be getting hella ####ed by Hellebuyck tonight.
  7. The 4th line might need oxygen tanks by the end of the night, but those vets had one of the best offensive zone shifts the Habs have had all season.
  8. Alexa, play the first verse of The Sound of Silence on repeat for 3 hours.
  9. Ducharme hinted there could be changes to the defense because they are a little banged up right now. Alternate take: Caufield has had two games of jittery and somewhat selfish play, and putting him with two hard-working, defensively-responsible forwards is helping him more than hurting him while he finds his footing in the NHL.
  10. "The three R's: readiness, recuperation, and conditioning! You see, after the game, a lot of guys like to ice up their arm. Still, other fellas think that heat is the way to go. But I, have discovered the secret, Henry... hot ice! I heat up... the ice cubes! It's the best of both worlds!" Might be reaching the bottom of the barrel for coaching advice... Lines at practice were: Kotkaniemi - Danault - Anderson Toffoli - Suzuki - Armia Lehkonen - Evans - Caufield Frolik - Staal - Perry Edmundson - Petry Chiarot - Romanov Gustafsson - Merrill Allen
  11. Absolute energy sapping goal to give up there, but let's not pretend this game is on the goaltending. The Habs aren't going to win many games while averaging less than 2 goals per game while Gallagher is out.
  12. Anderson having 3 feet of wide open net to hit and then missing by a foot on the opposite side really says a lot about the Habs this season.
  13. Put down the pitchforks: Romanov is probably in for Gustafsson tonight.
  14. Tatar has been playing hurt for a few games. I reckon Ducharme/Bergevin have decided it's better to give some guys a bit of a break instead of trying to force more hockey out of them.
  15. I would be very happy if the games Vancouver and Calgary play after the Habs regular season is over don't matter at all besides which of them gets the lower draft pick.
  16. It's not that I have confidence in Vancouver, it's that I don't have confidence in Montreal.
  17. Got help from Ottawa tonight. 2-1 win over Vancouver.
  18. Well apparently they thought they had a chance at Tony Deangelo, so: Mete > Remorseless POS
  19. Mete and roster flexibility > Gustafsson and zero roster flexibility.
  20. I'll chalk it up to first game jitters, but Caufield is gonna need to be a lot more tenacious going forward.
  21. Dumb penalty by Chiarot. Why give Calgary the momentum for the end of the second/beginning of the third on a nothing play?
