Sorry but I hate when people have to turn everything into some sort of game and you just can't state your opinion without someone saying "I'm better then you!". I see it all the time with my friends and it's annoying, One of my pet peeves. My bad.
  3. Going to, Gonna. Whichever you prefer. And you bolded things that helped your argument, there was other things that shined about him. It's the beauty of stats, you can mold them whichever way you want. Just ask Michael Moore. There's also no reason to think they'll do any worse then last season without losing anyone of utmost importance (the exception going to Damphousse, who I'm not sure could of helped them this year anyway. No hockey for a year at his age, he probably wouldn't of gotten off to a good start anyway) If at the end of the season, they miss the playoffs then I'll eat my words. But as of now I see absoultely NO reason to be crapping all over them.

When the hell did this become a competition? Geeze people...
  5. I'm a huge Cabrera homer, we never should've got rid of him. I fail to see how Renteria is a huge improvement over Cabrera.
  6. Renteria should be shot. But still, theres a 70 mil difference between the Yanks and Sox so you can't really include the Bo Sox in there.
  7. Who cares if you haven't heard of Ehrhoff? What difference does that make? And Rathje wasn't their best defenseman. By far. That goes to Hannan. Rathje was to the Sharks what Skoula was to the Avs or Brisebois to the Habs. So many fans hated him. Hell, Stuart is better then Rathje. It's like he had a hard-on for giving the puck away. I never said anything about the conference, I said they'd win the division. Stats only tell so much but that line can lead the team. Like option said, they kept most of the team together that came two wins from winning the WCF while dumping the crap that held them back (Rathje, Korolyuk). The only reasonable loss is Damphousse. If everything goes perfectly for them, 2nd in the West. Not so much, 6th in the West. But one thing is damn sure and thats the fact they'll be playing into the end of April.
  8. Eh, like I said. Underrated first line. And Ehrhoff is gonna be a beast.
  9. Anything I've heard about the Sharks has been really positive so far. They made 0 offseason moves however and haven't looked good in the regular season. They'll get their act together though, the only thing that plagues that team is their young defense with Ehrhoff, Preissing, Davison and Fahey. They're all projected to be great NHLers though and the Sharks have one of the most underrated first lines in the league in Sturm-Marleau-Cheechoo. Nabby has consistency issues which he needs to get over but Marleau will lead that team to another division title.
  10. Don't worry about it, the Avs chart on there is out of whack too.
  11. Yes, I've realized that already. But to put one team at such a disadvantage isn't all that fair either. I know the league has jumped onto the offense bandwagon but leave a little slack in there for defense. I'd hate to see Game 7 of the SCF end that way. The rule is stupid and the thought behind it is stupid.
  12. Washington and Atlanta seem too old to me as well. But I guess adding Bondra and Holik can do that to you.
  13. I know you guys don't like stuff taken from other boards but I found this to be interesting. Someone from the Avs board calculated the average age of every team and some results were surprising. Senators with the youngest team in the league and Hasek in net? .... Does. Not. Compute 1.Ottawa Senators-25.82 2.San Jose Sharks-26.21 3.Calgary Flames-26.74 4.Buffalo Sabres-26.74 5.Chicago Blackhawks-26.91 6.Montreal Canadiens-26.96 7.Washington Capitals-27.0 8.Minnesota Wils-27.16 9.New York Rangers-27.38 10.New York Islanders-27.41 11.Columbus Blue Jackets-27.68 12.Carolina Hurricanes-27.70 13.Nashville Predators-27.86 14.Vancouver Canucks-27.95 15.Phoenix Coyotes-28 16.Philadelphia Flyers-28.04 17.Edmonton Oilers-28.04 18.Florida Panthers-28.17 19.Anaheim Mighty Ducks-28.27 20.Boston Bruins-28.48 21.LA Kings-28.48 22.Toronto Maple Leafs-28.65 23.Pittsburgh Penguins-28.75 24.Atlanta Thrashers-29.0 25.Colorado Avalanche-29.04 26.Dallas Stars-29.13 27.St.Louis Blues-29.82 28.Tampa Bay Lightning-30.0 29.New Jersey Devils-30.13 30.Detroit Red Wings-31.09
  14. I like the fact the red line is gone and the goalies with a limited playing space. What I HATE is that stupid "delay of game" penalty for sending it over the boards. About 90% of those are by mistake anyway. Think about it. Tie game, 1:30 left, both teams are battling behind the net with the opposition putting on lots of pressure. You just want it the hell out of there so you slap it. It takes a weird bounce of the glass, you get called for delay of game. And then your team allows the PP goal with 50 seconds left. I just really hate that call.
  15. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=139413&hubname= I guess the panic button has been hit. I don't see why the hell they'd want this guy, I don't think hes all that adept for the new rules. They're getting enough penalties as it is...
  16. Glenn Healy is a douchebag, plain and simple. The only guy who gets on my nerves more then him is Pierre McGuire. God forbid he has anything decent to say about the Avs.

I atleast got the NL right so I'll stand by what I said there. But now I think the Astros are gonna win the World Series. In the AL, I still think the White Sox have no chance...Angels in 6. So now the Astros/Angels..Astros in 6. That'd be quite the matchup actually. I really hope the Angels can get there.
  18. Wow, seen all of those. Also seen Blow, Once Upon A Time In Mexico (only movie I have on the PSP), Platoon, Nightmare on Elm Street....umm...thats all I've got off the top of my head. No wonder I really like Johnny.
  19. I said Lindros would have a good season, not Toronto. The Leafs are gonna suck, everyone knows that.
  20. Who isn't panning out? Lindros? So far he's doing better then any Leaf fan would've expected. And we all know they expect too much. If Lindros gets a...oh...70 game season (82 is asking too much) he'll be in the top 20 for scoring. I'd say top 10 but he's got ZERO talent surrounding him. It's gonna be a rough year in Leaf Land.
  21. It was well deserved. And after seeing injuries like Berard, Yzerman and Sundin and the league still hasn't taken action....you have to wonder how stupid the head honchos really are.
  22. John Tavares, hes in his first year of CHL play right now, got drafted first overall by the Oshawa Generals and he was ripping it up last time I heard. He;ll be eligible for the 2009 Entry Draft. http://news.yahoo.com/s/cpress/20050920/ca...hky_ohl_preview
  23. A year without Vancouver is a year to be blessed. And Toronto sucks. But I think every other team will be there. Hemsky and Torres are ready to breakout for Edmonton and Markaanen is SEVERLY underrated. All three of them proved my point in tonights game against the Canucks. Horcoff also gained some confidence from playing in the Swedish league last year, he lead the league in scoring. Edmonton is a team to watch out for. I've said before that they're overrated but I've watched both of their games and so far, the Oilers have changed my mind.
  24. My cousin was in a class last year where all you do is watch porn. Man, I gotta get into that class.
  25. I think theres a rule that only Habs fans can be on "The List". Well damn you, I say! Damn you and your list! *cries in the corner*
