  1. AND ONE AGAIN, EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE IS RIGHT. KEEP IT UP HABS! Next up: Kill the Rag$
  2. I think Moore got 2 assists That line does it again
  3. I'm definitely not complaining. Without Markov we are in big trouble.
  4. Every player is entitled to a mistake. Markov should have cut him off and he didn't. It's no indictment on Markov. Hockey ain't easy, even for the best. It's much easier to type it than to respond on the ice. No big deal really.
  5. Markov should have cut him behind the net. Gill did the same sort of gaffe against the Oilers the other night.
  6. I find it very interesting to ask fans at this point about both UFA's: who would you rater have, Moore or Cullen? There's still a lot of season left before we can assess this but Moore is bringing it for sure Maybe Cullen will prove me wrong but we paid less than the Sens did. The only counter argument is that Goats ran up the price for trades which I don't buy. Sometimes you pay what you pay to get what you want or need!!! Not necessarily what armchair GM's think on public boards. Good trade!
  7. So, who is upset about the 2nd rounder for Moore now? It's obvious we traded for him to sign him. He's on a MISSION!
  8. Philly wins Huet really is being a drag. I wonder if Niemi and Huet can get them the cup. I doubt it. And to top it all off Chicago can't even do the Habs a favour. Go home Chicago. Blah! PS. I'm simply relaying what my fellow Blackhawk fans at work have been saying. Chicago can score 4 or 5 but to still lose by 1? THEY'RE NOT HAPPY! No big saves. Maybe the Hawks are going for the cup in 2011. Maybe Eddie can come out of retirement
  9. Especially out of the gate. When the Oilers took the 1 goal lead (2-1) and pressed I wondered if we were facing the Capitals or something. Hopefully the Oilers made the team learn their lesson! Enjoy the game. Wish I was there
  10. I like how on Habsinsideout they make the point that this is a sign that Halak has been annointed number 1. He's already our de facto number 1. We should be in a for playoff intense game. I feel like it's useless to post lately because I'm stating the obvious. Must win game...again. And the Rangers and Toronto. More must wins. Everything seems obvious lately. Hopefully winning becomes obvious Hopefully the Moore-Moen connection continues to sizzle! Two goals last game for that line with Sergei getting one of them. I like the way this team is coming together down all the lines. Kill the B_sta_ds!
  11. The Flames are on a roll. Maybe one or both of the Sutter's now keep their jobs. For their sake, they'd better make the playoffs!. The Red Wings are too close.
  12. The team must have read this thread...or was it the crowd?
  13. They suck, the media bugs them about sucking. Their fans want them to lose and this down and out skid row outhouse team would really love to beat the CANADIENS! Er, um, Habs wake up and realize that!
  14. Gill Take the guy behind the net or hold up the Oiler player crashing!
  15. Play with more of a 60 minute effort like they did against TB and we should be fine. It could happen. Their commitment last game to bring it the whole 60 minutes was impressive. Just cut the breakdowns down a bit and I'll start believing in this team. I'm getting closer every game
  16. And how do we keep them all? Bergeron too? Darche was excellent and he chased Fleury this year - not single handedly but his point blast was a handcuff goal that had odeur on it for Fleury. Now he does this? Not too shabby
  17. Excellent, Poor Bruins. Now I have to do 20 Hail Mary's or 10 good deeds of the day to wash the stink of having any microscopic particle on myself being happy with a Leafer victory.
  18. I can't believe it when this happens. I'm now pro Leafs winning but not against us. We could use the favours. They're losing to Boston 2-1. And just like everything else vacuous about them I suppose they'll even be losers in the favours catagory. Oh when does it end for these sucky suck sucks? Damned Leafers PS.
  19. Dump the instigator maybe? It's already been debated that the instigator ban led to more high sticks, butt ends and cheap shots. The NHL doesn't want the instigator because fights will increase but headshots aren't exactly getting greeted with enthusiasm by the critics of hockey either. But they won't. Besides, it might make the current NHL into the goon show. Queue for Georges Laraque to do the moonwalk with a smile! What to do? It beats me.
  20. Tough call but both are correct in their own way. Don Cherry says 2 and I agree with him but on the other hand the 3-0 could really lead to more complacency by the players to protect the lead. A roof caves in on a 2-0 lead it hurts but 3-0 is far more demoralizing. Pleks probably just got winded. Me hopes
  21. We in the drivers seat now with the worst lead in hockey! Keep DRIVING HABS!
  22. "Kill 'em! Kill the b@$t@rds!" Charlie - Head Trainer of The Charlestown Chiefs from the movie Slapshot! I like what I see Go :hlogo: Go
  23. It's clear that with the enhancements to these athletes skills through innovation, equipment technology and proper nutrition that these players are faster than in the old days. That's not to say that some players in the old days couldn't skate with equal speed. I refer to the ability to accelerate laterally, with different moves. Hits like this are bound to happen and more frequently which is exactly what is happening. People talk of motive and wonder about the motives of Cooke and some wonder just what he truly intended. Personally, I'm stumped. I do lean to the side that it was dirty but what the motives are, in that split second. There's not a lot of time to make a decision. It's at the instinct level. Savard was about to shoot, Cooke reacted. It happens so fast. Anyone who plays the game knows about the dangers. It's one thing to watch it on TV but in real life in feels like you are flying. At top speeds some NHL'ers can go as high as 40 kph (In the 1998 All Star Skills Contest, Scott Neidermeyer hit speeds of 45 kph). Head shots at 60 kph can kill (head on collision X 2 players going 30 kph directly towards each other) and that's probably what Sutter experienced when he was nailed by Doug Weight. Imagine a combined 45 kph leading to a total speed of a whopping 90 kph. 55 mph is no joke! Someone will get killed I'm sad to say. I have no clue how they are going to stop or diminish this. It's never easy making rules that must be considered before instincts. Snap of the finger is all the time you have. Cooke: "Oh no, there's Savard, he's going to shoot, let me consult my notes. What was that rule? What should I have for dinner...um?"......SAVARD SCORES! They can lessen it but I doubt they'll ever solve it.
