  1. Tcachuk and Mathews would be better than any of the habs forwards currently playing. It wouldn't take 4 years on those guys,

The one thing you normally can't criticize is the effort, they just stink. Worst record in the league since November I believe

Can you guarantee that? If so then you're better than any pro scout in history.

Yes I can, they both would be more talented than any current habs forward. MT would turn them into grinders however, negating there offensive skill.

Hmmm, interesting. I'll leave it at that.

  3. Only 8 points up the sabres and leafs are closing fast.

Mathews or Tcachuk would be nice

I hate the idea of tanking to get a player that probably won't help the team for another 4 years when our core players are 30 + and out of their primes. So then we have a few over paid vets and a good 22 yr old player. Not a good way to capitalize on the players we have right now

  4. his lateral move on 3rd goal was already blown before our player felt on him. But hey.... anyway, only one goal for again tonight.

Well every goalie has weaknesses that can be worked on. I'd rather him over Scrivens or Toker. You do the best with what's available and I'd rather trade for scoring at this point than shoring up a backup goalie position. I'm already pissed that we gave up Kassian for so little in return.

  5. Maybe, but at least I'd feel better seeing a Captain that at least tries hard every night. Max is almost entering Sucko K territory for me as far as how much I'd like to reach through the screen to strangle him.

Perhaps Patch wasn't the best choice for captain but I'm not going to lament the only guy on the team that can score, especially this team where goals are rarer than hen's teeth. Stripping Max of the captaincy could have a negative effect on him and I don't see that as a good idea right now.

  6. I'm blaming everyone, including Condon yes. He's terrible. Around his net especially and his lateral moves.

Markov looked like he was playing drunk.

He's not Carey Price but I think he's an adequate backup. Markov sets up the first goal, the 2 other goals Condon has a teamate on top of him. Hard for anyone to make those saves.

  7. This team needs a serious shakeup. MT is not the problem, and big trades are easier said than done...and our GM is an incapable idiot anyways in that regard. The only thing left that might do it: strip Pacioretty of the C. He takes far too many nights off, and to take tonight off with the life-or-death nature of the game is inexcusable. It's time to do something...can't just keep on with this same old garbage.

    I want to puke.

I imagine that would have as much affect as a bandaid on a gunshot wound

  8. Condon is not an NHL goalie. His technical skills are below average. All of them.

Really, you're blaming this on Condon. He's got to fight the opposition and his teamates so he's got a lot of handicaps.

Looks like we're at the bottom of the barrel. Is a recovery even possible for this season?

  9. They should put all the eggs in one basket and make a real first line and play the shit out of it. Patch-Chuck-Gally. MT has tried every shit combination in the book but won't try that line for more than a couple games. That line should be together for the rest of the season. Enough with the protecting Chuck crap. So do the obvious, give it a chance and lets see what that line can do because nothing else is working.

Those lines still look like shit.

And thats not on you, its on the fact that no matter what you do, you have two players in the top 6 who shouldn't be top 6 players.

You can turn the blender a million times, it doesn't change the fact there are only 4/6 necessary ingredients.

  10. I'm not one to pick on players but Markov looks like he should call it a career. This is not a blip, he's been awful for more than a calender year. He single handedly killed the powerplay and scored the B's first goal. Bring Pateryn in and sit Markov, please.

  11. It would show some balls to bench Markov but they should just sit him . The seriousness of the current state of affairs here seems lost on management.

Ya its time for the Habs to give him a couple nights off. He has been pretty bad of late. Some rest and a different perspective may do him well. He's still one of our best defenders but needs rest. Last year he burned out in the playoffs. Seems like its coming early this year.

Just to make it worse eh.....Kassian. Good for him though.
