Hopefully Koivu's injury really is just a sprained knee, but there still is the possibility of some torn legamints, which will be reavealed early this week win the MRI results are in. Hopefully he's ready to go by the first exhibition game, the habs are a way better team when this guy is in the lineup. As for youngsters getting the chance to play, the only youngsters that may get a chance to play are Hossa and Higgins, with Hossa already having stints in the NHL for the past two years. Ward will certainly be on the team and it seems as though Ryder is steadily solidifying his chances of making the team as well, but these guys can hardly be considered youngsters at 23 (Ryder) and 24 (Ward) years of age when regulars on the habs like Markov and Ribeiro are the same age. Something Montreal really needs is a tough guy, im sick of seeing guys like Dwyer and Blouin get beat to the ice everytime they drop the gloves, the best fighter on the team is probably Quintal or maybe Rivet but we cant risk losing either of those guys with a broken hand. Souray also seems like he can handle himself but i doubt we'll see him drop em anytime soon. :ghg:

Markov's linguring injury is the knee problem he had at the end of last season. hopefully he can recover by the start of the season. :ghg:

Breezer should be stripped of the A... He's not Assistant Captain material at all, the only reason he had in the first place was because he been there the longest. Rivet has an A, Zednik would be a good candidate for the other A but im thinkin Quintal would get it due to his veteran presence.

From what i saw on the highlights Ribeiro looked like the best player, i really hope he takes the #2 position from Perreault. Zednik and Ribeiro looked like they had some good Chemistry together, hopefully it works out!. How about the move Ryder put on the Bruins d-man in the first? he almost jammed it in too. Anyone know how he did in the rest of the game? Even tho im a big fan of him im assuming he didnt do all that well, playing on a line with Juneau and Sundstrom would make anyone look bad (notice who was on the ice for the ot winner?, the so called checkers juneau and Sundstrom). Hopefully he makes the team and gets a chance to prove he can stay. :ghg::ghg::ghg: :hlogo::can:

Dackell, Juneau, and Audette definitely have to be gone from the team, they're only taking away positions from some of the young players that should be in the lineup. Ryder should make the team for sure, he's the type of player that the habs need , Physical and a natural goal scorer. He'll need time on one of the top lines to make an impact. Ribeiro seems to be ready to take on a bigger role and step in as the teams #2 center, with his offensive intelligence he should also get alot of time on the powerplay. my lines would be: (with juneau,Dackell, Audette) Zednik-Koivu-Ryder/Ward Bulis-Ribeiro-Ryder/Ward Sundstrom-Perreault-Audette Dwyer-Juneau-Dackell (Without Juneau, Dackell, Audette) Zednik-Koivu-Ryder/Ward Bulis-Ribeiro-Ryder/Ward Hossa-Perreault-Sundstrom Dwyer-Higgins-Kilger/Dagenais/Blouin :ghg:

The game looks and sounds good! But i'll be sticking with the Ea Sports hockey game.. They seem to always have the better product.:hlogo:

I cant wait for the season to begin! This year is going to be a rebuilding year, but it should be exciting to see all the great young players of the Habs future!! With these great young players like Ward Higgins, Ryder, komo, Hainsey and Perezhogin on the way another Dynasty is just around the corner:hlogo: Ryder is a real good player, he's proven it at ever level so far..Hopefully he'll get a chance to prove he belongs with the big boys! :ghg:
