Well, one of my trades no longer makes any sense. I dealt Ribeiro to Florida because I thought Florida may want to re-unite him with ex-linemate Pierre Dagenais, however, as I'm sure everyone now knows, Dagenais is a Hab, so that deal makes very little sense now.
In case anyone was wondering, I put Denis Shvidki in that deal, as he's an ex-linemate of Bulis. The two of them played quite well together for Barrie in junior.

Centre Roman Lyashenko of the New York Rangers was found dead today in a Turkish hotel at the age of 24. The cause of his death is unknown at this time.

When I got my 57 I had one hell of a game , I had a near perfect 1st period , a perfect 2nd period and a decent 3rd...
I had a perfect 1st, an almost perfect second, and scored 10 goals on the goalie, I doubt I can do much better than that.

Pat Brisson announced last night that his client Sergei Fedorov will not re-sign with the Red Wings. Less than 24 hours later, the Wings announced that they have signed Derian Hatcher to a 5 year, 30 million dollar deal.

Sakiqc, I just looked at your entry now and I saw the lines, my mistake. You have to keep Bouillon and Chara together though, there's nothing like having the league's tallest defenceman with the league's smallest one.
As for the lines, I like yours much better, although the ones I posted (through the salary breakdown near the middle) have very good balance-it's hard to distinguish what would be a front line and what would be the 4th lines.
on my lines, at the bottom.. we should read "brisebois" and not "hainsey"That's from a U2U you sent me on June 24-so your line of Hainsey-Quintal should read Brisebois-Quintal, just thought you should know.

Aussie, Michaud HAS played for Montreal, filling in for a period 2 years ago vs Edmonton.

ARGH! Another deadline that I messed up. Why does the NHL have to make their deadlines exactly one month apart from each other? Its very confusing...
It's not confusing because the dates are exactly one month after the other. You know that the 1st of the months (June/July) are "free agency dates". You're just having an off-day I guess.

BTW : I think the numbers that were given in the article are the numbers of the offer needed to qualify the player (Kilger is listed at 1.4)
That may be true for most of them, but Koivu's contract at $3.3 mil is accurate based on last year's figures. It would take 3.63 mil to qualify Koivu.

He isnt signed , he isnt our property after July 1st (if we dont sign him)...
Technically, he isn't our property now, as he became a free agent June 1st, and was free to sign with any other team (just like Kiel McLeod). The fact that he's with the team tells me that the two parties may have agreed to let him go for now and sign him at a later date (in order to concentrate on signing other guys like Archer/Milroy).
