  1. Now Zigomanis scores to make it 3-2 Marlies.
  2. Hamilton takes a penalty, Marlies immediately score thereafter.
  3. Oh, and here is March's wallpaper: http://www.habsworld.net/article.php?id=2739
  4. That's because they didn't. He was the other player acquired with Olli Jokinen for Chris Higgins and Ales Kotalik.
  5. Mayer covers the puck, gets knocked into the net...and it counts. 1-1 now, late 2nd.
  6. I can tell you it's not Youppi this month...but I'll forward on your requests for April's.
  7. The good news? The Bulldogs are up 1-0 in the 2nd on a goal from Engqvist. The bad news? Stafford was cheap shotted by Marcel Mueller (who got 5 and a game) and was carried off on a stretcher. Huge blow for Hamilton there.
  8. He had 173 PIMS last year with 9 points and 0 points this year with nearly 90. It's safe to say he's just a goon...now whether or not he can be a useful one remains to be seen but we can easily classify him as the prototypical 5 minute a game tough guy.
  9. Someone here had said earlier that he was curious as to why no one gave Emelin grief for not fighting yet Subban gets the treatment he does. I suspect tonight's events may change that a little...and I don't blame Emelin for not fighting, there's a legit reason why he doesn't. But seeing how hot under the collar Malone got, I'm sure either he or someone will spout off publicly after the game.
  10. 1-1 after 1. Didn't see all that much of the newcomers; Nokelainen out for the 7/11 approach again. Desharnais and Stamkos with the goals.
  11. Looks like he'll be on the 3rd line tonight with Plekanec and White. Here are the probable lines...for whoever wants to do the GDT, hint, hint. Pacioretty-Desharnais-Cole Bourque-Eller-Palushaj Geoffrion-Plekanec-White Staubitz-Gomez-Nokelainen
  12. Any player claimed on waivers now can't play in the playoffs. Though that won't be a problem for the Habs, it would be for a team wanting to pick up Campoli.
  13. If anyone's wondering, Staubitz will wear #25.
  14. Strangest thing I've ever seen in an auto race before. Daytona 500, caution on the track. The dryers/blowers are on the track clearing some debris, Juan Montoya is speeding up to catch the back of the pack before the green flag drops, breaks something in the bottom of the car causing him to spin right into the back of the safety car (the dryer) causing its fuel to leak and ignite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPRTD4Qj6lM&feature=related
  15. With the deadline now done, I'm going to close off the ticker. The archive will still be there for those interested.
  16. Neither have played particularly well the last few weeks. As bbp notes above, the evaluation period for Palushaj is a lot shorter so it's understandable he gets the longer look for now.
  17. For real this time, no airport sighting necessary. Louis Leblanc sent down in his place...just after I edited the contracts page on the site no less, sigh. Palushaj apparently was also recalled although I don't remember him being sent down unless it was a 'paper transaction' at the beginning of the day.
  18. I'm guessing it's along the lines of the Habs got something for Spacek while Carolina couldn't get anything for him.
  19. Story of the deadline right there for me. The old fashioned depth player for late pick deal, something there is a ton of every year, really wasn't there. If you look at the bottom teams, there wasn't a whole lot of selling. Columbus moved a depth guy, the Habs moved one player, Carolina did nothing, the Islanders moved a guy who cleared waivers 2 hours earlier, and Edmonton had the one swap on D but that wasn't a selling move either. I'm a little down that the Habs didn't do more but they certainly weren't the only ones in similar boats that more or less didn't do much. His is at 6:30 PM EST.
  20. Anyone can be dealt, the acquiring team just needs to waive a physical. (For the record, Darche isn't on IR either unless he was just put on today)
  21. Since when did Gauthier let a player find out from the acquiring team that he had been traded? He told the players that were traded as soon as the deal in principle was done to avoid that exact scenario.
  22. Interestingly enough, guess who the Habs play on Thursday?
  23. I think the top end of the 2012 draft is strong but the depth is iffy. In 2013, the depth is better which is good for the three second round picks.
