yes! great start boys... this is huge for the momentum...

from a guy who's supposed to be a big leader in the dressing room that's unaccaptable behaviour. He should set an example for the younger guys, take it like a man and sit there and cheer his team on. Disgusting performance by a supposed veteran, this alone should be enough to get him a ticket out of town at the end of the year.

Im going to go with a 3-2 loss in the shootout... I just dont have the feeling that tonight's the night for these guys. Atlanta's a tough team and if they aren't sharp I dont see how they can get past them. Higgins and Perezhogin for the Habs Kozlov, Hossa for the Thrashers with Hossa netting the shootout winner. here's hoping Im wrong, although one point would be better than the crap performance of the past week.

this game is approaching on a must win for this team. They need to prove that they can unify as a collective whole, fly in the face of adversity and succeed. Here's hoping they can make something happen, and here's hoping the sit down inspires Rivet to make a defensive stop for once and Samosonov to find a way to get the damn puck in the net. he's cleared waivers, but the habs have said they aren't going to send him down right away. I wonder if this means there is a trade brewing either involving him or involving more players leaving the habs than coming back. Should be interesting to watch over the next few days.

yah I really hope that this will at least show Gainey how much the habs DONT need to resign Rivet next year. I recognize his presence in the locker room but if that's all he brings to the table then make him a coach .

well this isn't quite how I imagined the start of the game going....

Carey Price wins a gold medal, a spot on the all-star team, the top goalie award AND the Tournament MVP at the World Juniors!!! Congrats to Carey, he carried the team throughout this tournament and they wouldn't have been in a position to win without him. The future is even brighter in Montreal right now!!!!

yah once Higgins gets back up to speed you can't deny him the first line spot, and Lats has played so well there I dont think you can move him either. The only one that makes sense to me would be this lineup: Latendresse - Koviu - Higgins Samsonov - Kovalev - Ryder Perezhogin - Bonk - Johnson Begin - Plekanec - Downey/Murray I know Kovy is not a true center but I think that gives us the best lines.

seems odd that they'd have boullion playing forward which he's never played before rather than play him a D and put Dandenault at forward at which he's much more experienced. Can't say that I necessarily understand yet, but that being said, great to hear that Francois will be back .

glad to see that they're planning on sitting Niinimaa down for tonight's game. Maybe a day of watching from the press box will remind him how to play a little defence.

man I wish I had this game on TV, but still what an ending. Great to walk out of this game with 2 points, and the leafs getting pounded two straight by ottawa is the icing on the cake .
