dlbalr
The Bulldogs (12-11-3) will look to get back into the win column tonight as they host St. John's (14-10-3). There's no word yet on whether or not either Thomas or Andrighetto (both DTD) will be ready to return...no word on Courtnall and Quailer either but no one cares about them anyway. Projected St. John's Lines:(based on +/- data from previous games) Jaffrey - Gordon - O'Dell Mouillierat - Cormier - Samson Klingberg - Lowry - Lipon Schnell - MacKinnon - Riley Redmond - Chiarot O'Neill - Fredheim Kichton - Hill Olkinuora Projected Hamilton Lines: (These are a straight guess as with 11 forwards, the lines are forever getting mixed.) Holland - St. Pierre - Leblanc Owens - Macenauer - Blunden Tarnasky - Dumont - NattinenZurevinski - Fournier Beaulieu - PaterynTinordi - DietzMcIver - EllisChouinard Tokarski Puck drop is at 7:00 PM, AM900 will have the play-by-play; click the banner below to listen. dlbalr
It's a more conventional 12-6 lineup tonight for Hamilton. Duffy and MacAulay are in for McIver and Zurevinski. Lots of shots early on in this one; Hamilton had 16 in the first while St. John's has 10 already in the 2nd before the 5 minute mark. Despite that, it's still scoreless. Edit: Make it 1-0 IceCaps. dlbalr
2-0 St. John's after 2. The IceCaps had 22 shots in the 2nd period, Tokarski stopped 20 of them. That's not a bad period of work despite allowing a pair.
dlbalr
Now 3-0 and the Bulldogs are shorthanded. This isn't ending well, I don't think.
dlbalr
3-0 is the final, Hamilton's offence has joined the Habs in going AWOL. http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1011482
miklin
they had myriad chances but couldn't put it away. Dominated in the first. Nick T had a couple ideal chances and couldn't control a fluttering puck on one and then got a clanger off the post on another. Pateryn and Louie both flubbed shots with open nets. Made the backup goalie for the Ice Caps a hero as he was flopping around like a fish most of the first period. Second period couldn't get much over the St. Johns blue line. Praying Thomas, Courtnall and Sven are back soon. -crowd was bad because of the ongoing winter storm-nice gesture by the club was to tell everyone that their ticket stub from tonight is good for another ticket for the game vs Abbotsford Dec 22. as a thank you -well on to Chicago and it's a school kids game Wed 12 noon our time. -game sheet showed attendance over 3000 but that must have been tickets sold with a lot of no shows due to the storm
