Zigmund Palffy is the latest free agent forward to land with a new NHL team, signing on with the Pittsburgh Penguins. It is a three-year contract worth $13.5 million US. Palffy is the third unrestricted free agent to sign with the Penguins this week, joining veteran defenceman Sergei Gonchar and forward Andre Roy. In 642 games with the New York Islanders and L.A. Kings, he has amassed 318 goals and 671 points.

I'd rather lose to the penguins than to the Leafs.

Im quite sure we should make the playoffs with this team and somehow I think the Leafs will have a hard time to make it. And Im really happy that we havent made TOO many changes. Feels good to almost have the same team as the 03-04 playoffs.

Lemieux on LW, Crosby at C, Palffy on RW

Gonchar on D, Recchi somewhere else...
