Redlight60
ok well what have we seen lately, a few guys trying, and many who dont right? WEll ok, higgins, bulis, and koivu, and begin are the ones who try the most right? add perezoghin plekanec to that mix. (sometimes) Why not reward the guys who try? Im not sure what to think of riberio but i say break up the sioul brothers fior a bit, you cant base your career on another player. Ryder, koivu, zed perezoghin, riberio, higgins plekanec, begin, bulis sunny, dagenais...leave space blank Ok, youll all question why i do this right? Well bonk needs to wake up, so give him a day off, and after he'll be pissed right? well put him as our second line center next game so he can show what he has to do. Depending on what riberio does figure out next games lineup. Yes i know bonk plays well defensively, but hello get us some goals. (if you dont like tyhis idea, edit oyut riberio and throw bonk in there, that way riberio sits and we hpe he pulls a last yr. I left the last spot blank becauise our kids arent getting enough ice time right, and our defense is, so if we have too many defenseman we can always throw one up front, but more importantly, maybe double shit a rookie. feel free to comment(im not saying do this for the rest of the yr, but it will send a message that if you work hard and contribute, youll get your playing time. thehabbit
well old coach "Juggles" Julien may have finally made a move where he hasnt dropped the ball. the new lines last night against the leafs looked pretty good with the rookies finally getting a real chance.......Julien really needs to keep these great rookies on the top lines, and not demote them when they make a mistake.....here is the lines as i remember them: zednik-koivu-perez higgins-plekanec-ryder bulis-bonk-sundstrom dagenais-ribeiro-begin when kovalev returns i think that perez should move to the second line, higgins should go to the third line with sunny dropping to the fourth. :hlogo:

Howie_Morenz
Agreed! Get Montreal back to the original 1st line of Zed-Koivu-Perez. At least if these guys stay together they will produce points.
SoCalHab
If the lines aren't working out, CJ needs to at least establish productive duos as a starting point, and THEN start experimenting to complete the lines. For example, We know that Saku & Kovi (when he returns) are an awesome combo, but what other duos (might) work well together? Maybe...... Ryder/Plex....and ......Higgins/Begin......and Dags/Press Box??

thehabbit
i think that a fourth line of sunny-ribs-begin works because the two most one dimensional players on the team should be on the fourth line. they could be used mainly as specialists on the pk and pp and could fill in on other lines when injuries arise. KoZed
To be productive, Koivu & Ribs both needs wingers that can get open to take shots. That's how Koivu & Ribs can generate some offense. Problem is: getting to control the play enough to create those chances. Koivu is much better in traffic than Ribs and also has more speed. Koivu would be a better complement to slower wingers like Ryder or Bonk. Ryder needs wingers with more speed. Here's what I'd try: Bonk - Koivu - Ryder Zednik - Ribeiro - Perezhogin Bulis - Plekanec - Sundstrom Higgins - Begin - Dagenais
Redlight60
despite my earlier reasoning on lines, which i still wouldnt mind seeing, how about we keep the lines together, they played better and better as the game wore on, mind you they started like shlt, but we got a game stolen from us. With markovs stupid suspension, id like to see komi get more minutes, and i wish we could limit streits time on the ice a bit more. Has anyone heard of a callup? Rooster
I liked the lines starting the Leafs game: Perezhogin-Koivu-Zednik Higgins-Plekanec-Ryder Dags-Ribeiro-Bulis Sundstrom-Bonk-Begin I think Ribeiro and Bulis go great together, Perezhogin belongs on the first line (especially when Kovy is out) and Higgins and Pleks need constant ice time. I hope they continue going with lines like that for a while. (I had posted this elsewhere.....padding my numbers I guess:)
