Habs77
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=52748 1 year deal... so it seems the Bruins were tired of talking to Detroit about possibly landing Cujo, or Dunham from NYR in a 3 way deal. To me this says the NYR have pulled out too... I think the only place left for Cujo is STL.
Quebecois
I really thought the Bruins would do better than this. To me, they haven't solved anything with the signing of Potvin, their big question mark will continually be in Nets, and it appears on the blue line. I don't see how this team can make the playoffs despite a great offense. Their overall defence should be HORRIBLE. huzer
Not that they have the ego problems that NYR have, but the Bruins seem built rather similarly: Great O, mediocre D, ?? in nets. [Edited on 4-9-03 by Habs77]
TheAussiePosse
They are similar, although Goalies NYR wins Dunham>Potvin Blackburn>Shields Markaanen>Raycroft Defense NYR wins Klemm-Leetch>Boynton-McGillis Poti-Malakhov>O'Donnell-Gill Kasparitis-Mironov>Jillson-Moran Offense NYR wins by default (more depth) Nedved-Lindros-Kovalev < Samsonov-Thornton-Murray Rucinsky-Hlavac-Carter(?) < Knuble-Rolston-Lapointe Simon-Holik-Barnaby > Axelsson-Stock-McInnis Healey-Lundmark-Petrovicky V Huml-Hilbert-Grosek Idunno, they are similar, although I'm worried that they'll beat us in the regular season. Also, with that lineup, New York has to make the playoffs. If not... well, I think we've already seen all the "what ifs".

I disagree for NYR... Dunham is very underrated, and their 6 Ds are capable of being very solid if the team isn't in total disarray again. Kovalev is the key on offense, a million times better than Bure IMO. This is the year NYR makes the playoffs, finally, and that's one less spot open for the Habs... & Bruins btw. If you want to talk about ?? in nets, Osgood in STL, Hackett in PHI, Aebischer in COL, Potvin in BOS, whoever in PIT. BOS & PIT want to save money so fine, but COL, STL & PHI have no excuse.
