Habs77
Solid game... good hockey. Ryder stood out again, I really wonder where they'll and up using him. Zednik left the game late in the 3rd... not sure if it's serious or not. Camp is over. This would be my lineup without Koivu & Kilger: Hossa-Ribeiro-Zednik Ryder-Perreault-Audette Bulis-Juneau-Sundstrom Langdon-Begin-Ward With Koivu & Kilger back: Bulis-Koivu-Audette Hossa-Ribeiro-Zednik Sundstrom-Perreault-Ryder Langdon-Begin/Kilger-Ward Ribeiro has developped some chemistry with Zednik & Hossa, Perreault & Ryder are clicking. If Koivu can get his line to work we'd have 3 lines that can score... which will be much needed this year. 4th line will be able to fight, have size & grit. prabby
Ryder gives Canadiens draw with Senators Canadian Press 10/4/2003 OTTAWA (CP) - Prospect Michael Ryder scored for the second night in a row Saturday to lift Montreal to a 1-1 tie with the Ottawa Senators in the Canadiens' pre-season finale. Ryder's second goal of the pre-season in the third period cancelled out one Peter Schaefer's opening goal of the game for the Senators before a Corel Centre crowd of 17,761. Jose Theodore made 20 saves for Montreal, which finished the exhibition schedule with a 2-4-1-2 record. Patrick Lalime stopped 19 shots for Ottawa (8-0-1-0), which failed to win for the first time this pre-season. The Senators wrap up Sunday night in St. Catharines, Ont., against the Buffalo Sabres and play host to the Canadiens in the regular-season opener on Thursday night. Neither team generated much offence through the first two periods, registering just nine shots on goal apiece. Just more than a minute into in the third, however, Theodore made the first stop on a rush by Marian Hossa only to have Schaefer stuff in the rebound to make it 1-0. The lead didn't last long as Ryder took a pass from Yanic Perreault at the top of the left faceoff circle and wired a wrist shot over the glove hand of Lalime to tie the score at the 3:27 mark. :ghg:
Bonavistaman11
Ryder belongs here.... him and Perreault seem to have a good connection, and along with Bulis this line has some good potential if Perreault can play like he did 2 years ago when he was our best forward. But this is Montreal so i wonder what is really gonna happen with Ryder, it'll be interesting to see. Cant wait to see the opener against the Sens. :ghg:
