smon
It seems pretty obvious that Bouillon and agent Don Meehan were looking for a contract larger than Mathieu Dandenault's rather generous contract...by comparison Bouillon was likely pointing to the fact that he scored more pts in 15less games and averaged a lot more minutes... InsaneHABSfan
I am a bit confused by the $$$ he signed for if this is true. Dandy was overpaid in my opinion so Montreal makes the same mistake twice. What is Gainey doing? (I know it is not my money so I only slightly care)
smon
It's pretty simple Montreal had no choice unless they wanted to try and replace him via UFA...and that could very likely end up costing more. Dandenault is overpaid -- but in terms of the salary scale of the team's D, Bouillon could rightly argue he deserves more cash than Dandenault, but less than Souray/Rivet/Markov.
