Spider-Man NL
TSN.ca Staff 12/17/2003 Rob Zamuner's future with the Boston Bruins appears to be up in the air. Zamuner, a member of Canada's 1998 Olympic hockey team, has cleared waivers and is waiting for Bruins management to make their next move. Among the options being considered are sending him to the minors or buying him out of his $2-million contract. "It's not fun but there's nothing I can do about it," the 34 year old tells the Boston Globe. "I haven't really talked to [general manager Mike O'Connell] at all." O'Connell, who has hinted at changes, indicated that sending Zamuner to Providence of the American Hockey League is "a possibility". This is Zamuner's third season with the Bruins since signing as a free agent back in 2001. The former New York Rangers draft pick has also played for Tampa Bay and Ottawa. He has one goal and four points in 21 games this season and just one point in his last seven games.
