Ok Begin Played well in the first month but what has he done in the past 2? Bulis has recently started to play well but he misses the net on at least 3-4 good scoring chances per game to say that is consistant is technically correct but consistantly blowing scoring chances is not the type of consistancy i meant Murray, Ferland, Higgins have played well in spurts and then disappeared for long stretches Plekanec is gonna be a star someday and he has played well But to suggest Koivu is done because his linemates arent giving it their all whats up with that theres no way you can tell me that kovalev is giving it 100% every shift yes i will give you the fact that he is one of the most talented players in the world but the key is... only when he wants to be. other times you dont even notice him on the ice. Not to mention the fact that he is averaging a pt/game and has the best plus minus on the team seems like declining skill to me

we are seeing koivu get worse and worse? he is still the most consistant player we have. Nobody on the team gives a better effort on the ice night in and night out. It really isnt his fault that Kovalev doesnt skate and Zednik can only push the puck up the boards and skate really fast after it (what is up with that anyways?) I mean just because The "team" is having a bad year. and pretty much everyone except Markov and some of the rookies (plekanec, Kostitsyn for the little he has played has been good) Perezhogin started well but really faded fast but so did the entire team. Ryder is another bright spot but he is very streaky. he will score a few games in a row then not score for 2 weeks. Over the course of the year though Koivu has been our most consistant player

Also guys i like bouillon too but saying he would be a 3 or 4 d man on most other teams? or like someone else said 1 or 2 on any team???? The guy is 5-8 heart or not he is small. yes he has some nice hits along the boards. Have you ever seen him hit anyone in the open ice? he misses his assignments in front of the net alot of the time. You are putting Koivu on the 4th line????? you have Chipchura ahead of him on the depth chart? And dont kid yourself Price should not have gone 5th overall He's no Depietro, Luongo, Letonin, or fleury for that matter. He couldnt even make team Canada as a backup. you do understand that in order to send veteran players to the minors they need to clear waivers first right? meaning any team could just take them for nothing. yes i can see it now koivu, kovalev, zednik,ribero, and theodore all on waivers. Hmmm i wounder what would happen? A trade is coming but its not gonna be a huge blockbuster. For the simple fact that we do not have anyone to use as bait now. too many players giving a half assed effort on a nightly basis

Its just that New Jersey and Atlanta keep winning. We have games in hand but they are only good if you win them. This road trip could be the make or break point of the season for them. If they Trade Theo who wil play goal? you cannot rest the hopes of a franchise on Huet and Danis. We know Theo can take us where we need to go. Since the coaching change he has played so much better. He and Julien just did not click, and Bob made the right call. The players lost faith in Julien. Don't get me wrong, I hope that when Huet gets a start he does well but he does not look like a goaltender. I have no confidence in him at all. Too many big rebounds and he just looks awkward. and not a hasek awkward a no mobility awkward.

Ok the problem with that is Luongo is a RFA at the end of the year. FLA can match any offer for him and they have lots of cap room. Plus even if Fla doesnt match. Then your giving up first round picks for someone who i feel is only marginaly better than Theodore, if at all. We really dont know because everyone talks about how many shots he faces. Well the other night he faced something like 18 shots and gave up 5 goals against the blue jackets. If theo did that he would be Lynched at Dawn by the fans in MTL. And of course the more shots you face the higher your Sv % is going to be. Luongo hasnt even taken Fla to the playoffs yet. Theo has done it twice pretty much by himself. Bob will not trade Theo without getting a true number one goalie in return.

They would be nuts. Who is gonna play goal if they trade Theo. Ok Huet has played well the last few games. But after his first win agains Ottawa (which Kovalev won) look at how he played the next 3. Huet is NOT a number one NHL goalie. He's not even a number 1 AHL goalie by the numbers he put up down in Hamilton. And im sorry The last thing we need is another Backup goalie, a goon, another small D-man (bergeron = 5'10), and a prospect. Gainey is not stupid. Theo isnt going anywhere
