  1. "I am completely and totally against mortgaging out the future just for a few more points this season. That being said, I think most people here agree that we need a true scorer, not just for now BUT FOR THE FUTURE too." I'm suggesting trading a player who would fill a role that is already stacked with good, young talent. And I didn't suggest trading Chipchura for a 38 year old washed up former 30 goal scorer. Balej was a good prospect too. Does that mean we shouldn't have traded him for Kovalev? I'm not saying we should turn into the ######ing Leafs... oh, forget it. Guys, Leafs Suck made two good points. 1. Don't trade the youth away. 2. Don't try to be like LeafNAZI. At the start of the year I thought Montreal could finish high and make a run. Now it looks like a dogfight for playoff spots. Montreal will be there, I just have no clue how high now. If there are trades to improve now and for the future do it. If not, we don't want someone elses rejects for players that don't play well for Montreal. Patience my fellow habs fans. Sometimes, patience is a hard pill to swallow after games like the Leaf game and no goals against the Sens. And it is good to see we can argue here without resorting to Leaf like attitudes. 2. A two possibilities 1) We lose - you would be around a bunch of sens fan 2) We win - you would be gloating around your dissapointed wife Get out of the house now!:clap: hahahaha as always simonus is the voice of reason.
  3. A If you cheer for habs goals do you get a poke in the ribs? If so run like HE..Double Hockey Sticks to your buddies place.
  4. If Hainsey could not make Montreal's squad, then there is something wrong. Streit is ok in some games and just terrible in other games. If Hainsey could not beat this guy out of a job then there was no hope for him. Normally I wish X-Habs well when they move onto other teams but this time all I can say is: I Never Knew Him. But good luck anyway...
  5. dark_faerie87 you are right. Unlike some people who think we are going to get pasted, the pressure should be off Montreal. A lucky bounce, a bad game by Ottawa, an incredible game from Montreal's rookies might be in store tonight. Ottawa is clearly the best team in the NHL, but I think they save their hatred and goal scoring for the LEAF games.:)
  6. Dave's thread does have some good points. Bonk is way overpaid. I was jumping for joy when Montreal obtained his services. Now I am just glad, not overjoyed. Defense is a sore spot with Montreal as the team is ok most games, not every game. Laps and Turgeon would not be getting this many points in Montreal. Look who they play with in Colorado....:) [Edited on 2005/11/29 by Howie_Morenz]
  7. Your prediction really makes me all warm and happy inside.
  8. WARNING SENATORS FAN ON THE BOARD. Why don't you go away with all your doom and gloom. You should be called hatethehabs as your posts do not in any way constructively criticize the team. You sure are kissing major Ottawa A$$!
  9. It always good to think the Habs are going to win. I think Montreal will play quite well against the Sens after that poorly officiated game against T-DOT. Montreal is a team trying to win, just not being able to score whenopportunity knocks. Every time Montreal gets a PP I wonder if they are even going to get a shot on net. Time for the guys to suck it up and put forth a full game. Ottawa can be beat, just have to match speed and effort. :hlogo::hlogo::hlogo::hlogo::hlogo:
  10. leafNAZI given another 5 on 3 tonight from refNAZI and they score against Florida. What a F^&%^$^%ING crock again tonight.
  11. :/) ~moeman too true! Thats an interesting trade, but not equal in the forwards category. Maybe Dags even up for Ollie. Hey I thought this was a LeafNAZI type trade.
  12. I think in the game thread I was beyond P%^$%#%$^$ED! I think I should send a Christmas Card to each official with the Toronto Maple Leaf Logo on it with big hugs and kisses from Dainty Domi and Timid McCabe. That was a very biased officiated game and really ruined the rivalry. Facts are, Toronto cannot defeat anyone without help from Stripes. Tonight against Florida for example I watched grab after grab by Leaf players and no penalties. Toronto then goes in on a break and scores. Blatant Bias again. Motto for next LeafNAZI game, expect refNAZI to be biased so be more carefull when: Sneezing. Shooting puck at Belfour. Passing. Stepping on the ice. Blocking shots. Line Changes. Watching the puck. Crossing blue line or red line. All the above is a penalty call against Montreal. [Edited on 2005/11/29 by Howie_Morenz]
  13. Does the word PENALTY and the other word MONTREAL go together? It is frustrating in Hockey and Football to see both teams take so many penalties. grrrr.......
  14. Macaskill and TheBigRedC Congrats on reaching large post numbers. I have always thought if you give more to a community than you take, the foundation of that community will never crumble. Thank you for posting here as I have really grown to like this board. So many good hockey fans here it is a fun place to visit.
  15. The start of this game looks like it is going to be a close one so far.
  16. Agreed! Get Montreal back to the original 1st line of Zed-Koivu-Perez. At least if these guys stay together they will produce points.
  17. habs rule you make a good point. I cannot believe Huet is ready for primetime already. I don't think he will be in net for Ottawa game. Maybe Buffalo Dec1st or LA Kings Dec3rd at the Bell Centre?
  18. macaskills gf, welcome aboard our little corner of the world where we cheer and talk HABS. Sometimes nutty, sometimes serious but mostly fun! Noone is going to forget you here because your first thread is now a favorite of many. I laughed so hard I was crying. Not laughing at you, just how the thread went as it was priceless. Don't be frightened to post as we are all armchair GM's and Coaches.
  19. Me too. I am still laughing and may go back again to read that thread. It is as funny as that preseason Montreal Game in the East Coast where we all wondered who won. All bets were that somebody won.
  20. I think the sheer aburdity of it is what fooled Kolzig. "No, no he can't be doing that skill stick from NHL06. No of course not, I mean he's 6'6. Wait, he's got his stick between his legs! What the - DOH!" I'm sure he was thinking something similar to that... When I first saw it I was looking for the PS2 logo on the bottom of the screen. I was thinking NHL2006 is TOO COOL. But it was real.......
  21. Or an errant body check by Dags. :) Hey Saku would kill them!
  22.:clap: Thanks Tex! I watched it over and over and over and over so I downloaded it and watched it over and over and over....:)
