dlbalr
Like last season, I'll track the offseason moves for the Dogs who will most likely see turnover resembling that of the Habs last summer. New players: F Alexander Avtsin (Dynamo Moscow, KHL) F Jimmy Bonneau (Rochester, AHL) G Peter Delmas (Halifax, QMJHL) F Andreas Engqvist (Djurgarden, SEL) D Kyle Klubertanz (Djurgarden, SEL) D Brendon Nash (Cornell, NCAA) D Neil Petruic (Binghamton, AHL) F Ian Schultz (Calgary, WHL) D David Urquhart (Hartford, AHL) (Plus full seasons from late season additions Hunter Bishop, Gabriel Dumont, Olivier Fortier, and Dany Masse) Confirmed/potential departures, not including free agents: D Shawn Belle (signed with Edmonton) D Andre Benoit (signed with Ottawa) F Mathieu Darche (1-way deal with the Habs, will have every chance to crack the roster) G Cedrick Desjardins (traded to Tampa Bay) F Mike Glumac (signed 1 year contract with Kassel, DEL) F Mikael Johansson (signed 3 year extension with Farjestad, SEL) F Maxime Lacroix (team option declined) F Ben Maxwell (could be full time NHL'er) F Max Pacioretty (waiver exempt but cracked the Habs at the start of last year) F Tom Pyatt (likely full time NHL'er) F Grant Stevenson (signed a 1 year deal with Augsberger, DEL) F Greg Stewart (signed with Edmonton) D P.K. Subban (likely full time NHL'er) F Brock Trotter (signed 1 year contract (plus option) with Riga, KHL) D Mike Vernace (signed with Tampa Bay) Free Agents: AHL Free Agents: D/F Chad Anderson F Eric Neilson

New players: F Andreas Engqvist (Djurgarden, SEL) D Kyle Klubertanz (Djurgarden, SEL) F Phillipe Lefebvre (Drummondville, QMJHL) (Also can return to the 'Q') D Brendon Nash (Cornell, NCAA) (Plus full seasons from late season additions Hunter Bishop, Gabriel Dumont, Olivier Fortier, and Dany Masse) Confirmed/potential departures, not including free agents: F Mikael Johansson (signed 3 year extension with Farjestad) F Max Pacioretty (waiver exempt but cracked the Habs at the start of last year) F Tom Pyatt (likely full time NHL'er) F Ben Maxwell (likely full time NHL'er) D P.K. Subban (likely full time NHL'er) D Mike Vernace (end of loan with Chicago) Free Agents: RFA: D Mathieu Carle (requires waivers) G Cedrick Desjardins (requires waivers) F David Desharnais F Tom Pyatt (requires waivers) F Ryan Russell (requires waivers) F Greg Stewart (requires waivers, may not be qualified) F Brock Trotter (requires waivers) F J.T. Wyman UFA: D Shawn Belle D Andre Benoit F Mathieu Darche (spent half the year in Hamilton so I'll put him here) F Mike Glumac D Alex Henry G Curtis Sanford AHL Free Agents: D/F Chad Anderson F Eric Neilson D Frederic St. Denis F Grant Stevenson I don't see Weber on your list. I would be interested to see why you don't think Wyman and Desharnais would not have to clear wavers to play in Hamilton. Sanford, unless you have him pegged as a back-up in Montreal I think he is gone. It would be interesting to know if any of the tryouts in the developmental have a chance to stick. Right now, there's 7 d-men in Montreal not including Weber. As it stands, he starts in Hamilton (I think). Desharnais is 1 full year away from waivers or 64 NHL GP, so he's exempt to start. Same for Wyman, exempt for 1 more year, except he's 67 games away from the threshold. I'm not sure about Sanford, he could stay in Hamilton depending on what happens so I just put him in the UFA column for now.

I have been told that the Bulldogs would like to have Sanford back again next season. I guess we'll see what happens...
dlbalr
Habs sign D Frederic St. Denis for Hamilton while the Bulldogs signed D David Urquhart who played with the Hartford Wolf Pack last season.

I read somewhere to-day that ex-bulldog Jimmy Bonneau had been resigned by the dogs, can't remember where I read it.

HF Boards has both Urquhart (David) and Bonneau listed as AHL contracts.
dlbalr
Bulldogs sign D Neil Petruic to a minor league deal. An 8th round pick of Ottawa in 2001, he split last season between the ECHL and AHL - in the 'A', he played for Binghamton/Manitoba. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=56817
