Wow we are a very weaker team than I thought.

If theres a center we should go after in a trade I would go after Pageau. I have always liked the way he plays and he's a habs killer. Might have to be one of those 3 way deals like we just saw with Hoffman, because I don't see Ottawa trading with us. I think lehkonen-Pageau-Shaw could be a really good line.

I wouldn't give up on Scharbak without giving him a full season in the NHL to see what he can do. Give him that 2nd line spot on the rw leave him there and see what you got.

Would JvR be a good replacement for Pacioretty after we trade him? JvR - Tavares - Zadina Looks like a good top line to me.

Well if you brake down the team its Pacioretty - ? - Gallagher Domi/Drouin - Drouin/Danault - Scherbak Lehkonen - Danault/Domi -Shaw Byron - Rose - Hudon ? - Weber Alzner - Petry Schlemko - Benn Price Niemi Mete , Reilly, Deslauriers , Carr So this is the team as of today. If we sign Tavares then our biggest need will be a #1LD. If we lose out on Tavares then we still need a #1 center and a #1 LD. So this gives me 2 opinions here Opinion 1) wait tell after Tavares signs , this way if we land him i can then ask for a #1LD plus for Pacioretty. Opinion 2) I ask for a top LD plus a top young center for Pacioretty in a trade. This way I got a back up plan if Tavares doesn't sign here. Opinion 1 you can get away with asking for less for Pacioretty if you get Tavares. Opinion 2 you need to get a lot back just in case you can't sign Tavares.

That's why I don't want this rushed if they do trade him. Sign him take your time and fill team holes if you trade him.

I think the best beat for the habs is to resign Pacioretty so we can get more out of him in a trade and not have to rush it. If we can't trade him this summer i don't want to wait tell the deadline and get less for him.

Maybe the girlfriend wanted out of Ottawa which is why she did what she did if indeed it was her.

So the question is Zadina, Kotkaniemi or tkachuk?

We're not blowing up the team so guys like Shaw, Alzner, weber wont be traded and is Price is (Bergevin meal ticket) so he wont be traded. Pacioretty maybe and Gallagher maybe since those are your only 2 best trade chips that both don't have any NTC.

Hughes one and Kotkaniemi two looks pretty good for the habs in 4 years but we need to blow up the team now. No more retool that we do every 2 years.

Why do people think other teams are going to take Alzner in a trade for there top 6 player????? I know a lot of people want to dump Alzner and his contract but come on now .

If they get him at a good price maybe. But no long term big money contract. If that's what he wants walk away fast.

Here's a question.... If Tavares resigns with NYI, what's plan B? Who in this years crop of UFA's would fit well with the habs if Tavares is off the board?

It all depends on what Bergevin does to fix the defense on this team. Price was left to hang way to many times. I know we need a center but I think the D is more important.

I don't know what worries me more Bergevin and the draft or Bergevin July 1st with 14mil.

I just don't think people understand that these trades don't address team needs which angers people more. I don't have a problem with domi, if we got him for draft picks and prospects i would be ok with it. But you are trading galchenyuk because you say he doesn't address team needs at center, so why trade him for the same problem? Domi doesn't address our team need at center either. If you can't get what you want for galchenyuk keep him put him at center and ride and die with him there. Also if you're going to trade you best bargaining chip you do it to address your teams biggest needs. But again he didn't do that. Edmonton offered the 4th pick and Draisaiti for PK. Bergevin said no and tried to get more from edmonton. But then he takes Weber for PK straight up. Again doesn't address needs but creates holes. I don't have a problem with either domi or weber, but they don't address our team needs. In Bergevin 5 years here when has he address our team needs?
