Gotcha, and I share the sentiment: so far I KK looks far from a sure thing to develop into a good #2 center. Concerning indeed, considering we could have drafted Tkachuk instead...who is already a productive top 6 winger.

With 5 goals, and 17 points in 34 games...it's not unreasonable for Ducharme to be wondering if KK might be Eller 2.0 It's on KK to produce enough offence to convince him otherwise, and so far, he has not.

I'm downright pissed. Petry has been an ass in this game, and Price hasn't helped.

When Staal is ready, do we move Evans to the wing on the 4th line? Seems like he's playing too well to sit all of a sudden. Then again, Byron and Lek are suddenly solid too. Nice problem to have, when you can't find anyone who deserves to sit when you look at your lineup.

I can't believe the attempted downplaying of a blatant elbow. I don't give a damn that McDavid is the best player in the league, it was a dirty shot by today's standards and he needs to pay for it. The league dropped the ball, so some ice level justice has to be dealt out. If #97 is vulnerable, and KK has a chance the next time they play...let him have it. I'd say every Hab needs to finish every check extra-hard on him also...but quite frankly that should be the gameplan every game regardless.

Then we need guys to run McDavid until somebody pastes him good next game...well worth the charging penalty to send a message. I'd like for KK to punch McDavid in the mouth, but after the Chiarot hand injury, I don't want him to risk it.

Only KK knows for sure if there was any contact with his head. If there was, he needs to inform his teammates, and McDavid needs to answer for it the next time we play the Oilers.

Since my call-outs of guys who have been terrible this season seem to be working some magic in this game, let me try another: Tomas Tatar is a bum...they are nuts to give him powerplay time. Also, Shea Weber is great at hitting iron, but can't hit the back of the net nearly enough to justify teeing it up for him all the time.

That much time without playing at true game speed, I expect the same. Not his fault at all.

He can't heal soon enough...that 3rd line looks like a black hole for offence in it's current configuration: Byron - Kotkaniemi - Lehkonen What the hell is KK supposed to do saddled with those wingers? Yikes.
