Well Kovy himself is a pretty inconsistent player... hes known not to show up every game, and hes pretty much a puck hog... so what good would Kozlov do with him on the same line?

maybe he is, but he was in court and the same day he was back on the court... and he actually was a better player then, put the man aside, that made him an athlete who "cared" about his job... and that 90+ point game he did (what? 2-3 weeks ago?) was pretty amazing... Theo is a me first, fame bitch, whos whole family (and one on his wifes side) is in jail, and because the scandal it would of caused, lets face it, he MIGHT of been involved with his familys dealings (although not proved) then again its not as bad as what Bryant had to face (career ending time in jail) and he still showed up in every game... theo hasn't...

he sucks... but thats EXACTLY why he wont be traded for anything good... we are not gonna get Zed for Bertuzzi if thats what you were thinking...

Who do we trade for your 1st D-Man and top Center??? Ribs?? sorry but thats not gonna cut it... Ribs might get us a 3rd liner but not much more... who do we trade? Perezhogin, K-rex and Plek and lose our future? or we get rid of the few vets/good players we actually have now that have any kind of value (Rivet, Markov, Begin, Ryder, Kovy) There are 29 other teams out there who dont want our trash (Bonk, Ribs, Streit, Dagenais) anymore than we do... and as of right now, we have VERY few players with any value that we can safely ship out without questions being asked...

im having as much fun kicking him as I did Brisebois... none since he was on OUR team, but if he plays like shit its not my fault... I mean Huet is hot right now, Theo isin't... he needs to bounce back or he'll end up like Jim Carey a few years ago (or Raycroft now for those who dont remember) sure id like to see the old theo back, but thats not gonna happen untill he gives up the Ford ads ("when the attitude changes, everything else changes" and thats EXACTLY the problem) and gets his mind back on Hockey... Is he worried: -about becoming a father? -about his loan shark family? -about this picture of him with hells angels being shown around -about his father in law in jail (Guy Cloutier) -Ford laying him off? noone knows... but this should have been motivation, and Hockey a way to break loose from this shit... after all athletes have faced worse, and have done much better (look at Kobe Bryant when he was accused of sexual assault)

Actually im pretty sure that pic is from yesterday's game... ive seen it in the JDM, but yeah I think that it shows him as a team player... hopefully hes not just a Hypocrite, he has his demons and he needs to get rid of them before he comes back... I mean h'es not the same guy who won the Hart/Vezina its obvious but hopefully there is still hope...

still... when he IS ready, and what if he turns out a suprise (that 1.81 GAA seems interesting) its gonna be pretty crowded up top... is he going to be wasted a la Michaud/Fichaud or is he going to have space to move up? Fact is, this shows that short term changes might happen, alot might think Theo is the one that could leave, then again Danis could be traded too, asking for prospects is nothing new...

Hamilton will get Crowded by goalies if this goes on... With Carey Price and Chris Heino-Lindberg due up pretty soon... what are they gonna do with all of them?

and best guess... Trades as a whole are stopped, im sure many GMs want to see how players behave (and play) with eachother in Torino... if lets say Koivu and Selanne are still good together, door might open for a Trade with Anaheim (for example only) get the drift?

No there will be no trade... Last time ppl went crazy because Gainey went with the team to Colorado... nothing happened, Fact is I dont think other GMs need more bad players on their team, and that prices for good players are too high (High draft picks, Prospects, or players like Markov, Begin or Kovalev) and that Gainey wont trade our future for a player that will give us 2-3 months and the leave as an UFA And speaking of UFAs if we do get one, chances he wont stay here longer than his contract binds him... Not only is MTL the biggest pressure cooker in the league, but that taxes here scare the Players away. Why do you think Kovy stayed with us? BECAUSE WE WERE THE ONLY TEAM TO OFFER HIM 4 MILLION YEAR, the other teams either didn't want him (because of his bad rep) or were offering him 1-2 million dollar contract... The GM meeting might give a chance to Gainey to speak to other GMs and stir some things up, but hes not gonna come back with a Superstar contarct in hand... we are going to have to wait for thr deadline, and by then it'll be too late...

BTW... if anyone wants to see into Theo's future go here Jim Carey, HockeyGoalies.ORG and check out his weaknesses sounds like Theo... also read the "what others are saying" section to see how dramatically his play changes from the time he became a Bruin in 1997... and here is the whole trade mentionned above BTW back to the original topic, RDS had their own survey, this week (after the 8-2 loss) and out of the 16 000 or so votes, they had near 80 % of ppl saying theo should go... the RDS survey was directed at people who knew what they were talking about so it makes it more reliable, the JDM/Leger one was completely random... I am one of the ones that voted theo off the team, Theo is done...

35% of people that ACTUALLY replied wanted to trade Theo... id think that right now, if they had interviewed everyone, the % would of been much, MUCH higher... Theo's play is horrible, Markov's return will help, but the 1-2 or even 3-4 bad goals a game theo gives up wont just disappear, something is very wrong... when you cant stop 50% of the shots you face as a goalie, and that said goalie is Theo (former Vezina/Hart winner, used to be the goalie who has faced most shots) it only means one thing, hes asking to be traded.. That or Theo is another Jim "the net detective" Carey (also a former vezina winner with the caps) had one BIG year and has since become one of the biggest busts in NHL history, its sad really, last I heard he was fighting to keep a spot in the minors, and then got badly hurt (think he announced retirement after that) but I think this might be Theos destiny as well, unless he turns his game around... at leat the caps saw this before it happened and traded him to Boston in the trade that brought Oates to Washington, I fear it might be too late for The Butterfly Theo...

This place is nice, i mean really, Hard work appriciated! ive been on Habs boards for a while (and CO-Admining a 70+ member alternative to the stupid RDS forums) and this is the nicest ive seen... Dont Mind the name, i got it last year and just didint feel like Running around with 50 nicks and as many passwords, anyway... I was on ESPN boards when they were actually active, Then moved on to RDS where the management totally sucks (no way to edit or delete posts, no mods or admins checking the forums, one page with about 30 topics and everything below was lost, no... nothing) now overrun by trolls and an overreactive webmaster who bans trolls and good members alike actually but despite all adversity people generally seemed to like my sometime harsh, analytic or just plain weird (but that actually made sense) opinion, and I would like to be part of this forum as well :ghg: :que:
