  1. Crap ... after all the great saves Tokarski made. Who the h*ll should have been on right D?
  2. Even the PP is improved. Not a good penalty by Subban, though.
  3. Nice work by DD in the offensive zone, too.
  4. Rangers crashing into Tokarski again -- nice to see they bang into the goalpost this time.
  5. The Rangers' PP isn't looking all that good, either ...
  6. If Yemelin is not back for the 2nd, we'll definitely have a PP change. But I'd much rather have him on PP than lose him to an injury.
  7. Apart from the inept early PP, they actually look OK. But Lundqvist is not giving up many rebounds, so it won't be easy getting the puck behind him.
  8. This. People on these forums were writing the team off after we went down 3-2 to Boston as well. Have faith in your team, or at least hope. We came back from 3-2, Rangers came back from 3-1. We have a goaltending problem, but if we can find a solution to that, we have a chance, even if not a very big one.
  9. Didn't we shut out the Rangers in the regular season? Twice? Both Budaj and Tokarski are capable of playing shutout hockey. The question is whether they can pull it off in games 3 and 4. I'm not confident on this count, but neither am I throwing in the towel at this point. Down 0-2 in the semis is far better than most years in the four decades since I started following the Habs.
  10. We won in Boston. Twice. Against a better team than the Rangers. We can do it in MSG, too, as long as we can get some solid goaltending from somebody. Price would be the obvious solution, but given that he's out, I think we need to give Budaj his chance. If he does a Halak we might be able to pull this off yet.
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ECUtkv2qV8 Some things in life are bad They can really make you mad Other things just make you swear and curse When you're chewing on life's gristle Don't grumble, give a whistle And this'll help things turn out for the best And always look on the bright side of life Always look on the light side of life If life seems jolly rotten There's something you've forgotten And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing When you're feeling in the dumps Don't be silly chumps Just purse your lips and whistle, that's the thing And always look on the bright side of life Come on! Always look on the right side of life (...)
  12. Basically playoffs are still hockey, just more intense pressure. How many playoff games has he actually started, rather than being thrown in the deep end mid-game? Nothing is easy at this point. But Budaj sure isn't the only problem.
  13. Are the shots any good? I can't get to a TV yet ...
  14. Those were probably the local Bruins fans ...
  15. We don't know who will start in goal, and maybe we can't agree on who SHOULD start in goal ... but let's all pull together for the Habs tonight and take back the momentum in this series!
  16. Getting thrown into relief in the playoffs, not pretty indeed. But better than .900 and 2.5 GAA in each of three regular seasons with the Habs (in spite of that terrible 2-5 post-Olympic stretch this year). Either way, not an easy choice for MT.
  17. He wasn't exactly getting a lot of defensive support on those goals. Budaj did shut out the Rangers in the first regular-season game, although that was way back in October.
  18. Eller! A great individual effort. And nice to see Lundqvist's reaction ...
  19. Nice play Briere. Really they don't look so bad at the moment. But maybe the Rags have just decided to coast for the last ten minutes?
