I shouldn't think the team would be overconfident at this point: yes, it was a solid win, but they have been blown out twice in this series when they haven't put in the full effort, so they should know the consequences. However, after last night's game, they know they can beat the Flyers, and I think that matters a whole lot.

My question is whether the Flyers could actually adjust to the "new" Habs -- what would they be able to do to shut us down again?

So far things are going swimmingly -- and it's the first game in the series (so far) that I have not watched, as I had to work. Do I dare to turn on the TV and jinx it all?

How is that going to help if we can't score?

Really the Flyers only had two real shots -- one of them was Leino (?) shooting on our goal from his own end. Unfortunately one of them was Briere's.

Killed by the Flyers PP, again. And on a questionable penalty, again.

Since he can't have Ovechkin or Crosby in the finals, it appears that Bettman has decided he wants Pronger.

First period would be much, much better than not at all!

I hope 6-0 is a big enough embarrassment for them to take it seriously. And yet ... in spite of the shellacking, I don't think the adjustments that are needed are huge. We're still in with a good chance in this series -- if the boys will only take the Flyers as seriously as they took the Caps and the Penguins. We need solid, disciplined hockey, Martin knows what that's all about, but he needs to get the players to deliver on it.

How many PP goals is that now? And how many did Pittsburgh score in that Game 1?

Apparently they are trying to make up for the non-calls for interference on Halak.

No point torturing Halak with anything more tonight. He's got a crap save % tonight but I wouldn't pin many of those goals on him.

It's not entirely unlike the February 13 game we played against the Flyers, either. The team mailed it in, gave up three special team goals, pulled Halak, ended up losing 6-2. Leighton's playing a decent game but I hope we can put the puck behind him at least once or twice tonight.
