I was just taking a look at the oilers D-men what do you guys think about someone like peckham or sutton....both are relatively cheap could probably be had for next to nothing (weber + an extra 4th liner or late pick) and would add a different element to our bottom pairing. I dont know too much about Sutton but I like the fact that Peckham plays hard, Peckham is also a RFA and Sutton only has a year left. Maybe Kaberle would be an option there......

to be honest with youI have never really paid much attention to his game...but in Philly I thought he stepped it up a notch, or at least I just heard more about him while he was in Philly.

wow slim pickings....although Arnott would look pretty good as our 3rd center, move Eller or DD to lw. But I think that if he wanted to come here he would have 6-7 years ago when he first became UFA.

That is a very good contract considering that he was one of the best UFAs defencemen available

I would like to see how that works.....but last year Leblanc-Eller-Moen had great chemestry...I could see that line being a staple this year, unless Leblanc really impresses and ends up on the 2nd with Plex and Gointa. I just really hope that Bourque starts to understand what it takes to be consistent.....hard work

I think that the second line doesn't have enough sandpaper....plus Gionta and Plex are just not good together......would love to see a Evander Kane or Kyle Okoposo type there. I like LL too but there is just no Jam to his game.

I would like Doan more that Jager, but he apparently wants to wait until the ownership crap is worked out with the Coyotes....if we wait too long we will miss out on Jagerbombs....best case senario we get both of them and sort out the cap imliplications after. Maybe trade Gionta for some Defence?

I am very pleased with this....2 years says he is willing to prove what he is worth

Is he really worth it, there are so few players that will play there hearts out with a mega contract....and smaller player tend to break down over time...

doan for two to three years would be a great addition as a place holder for younger guys until they are ready
