that's what i figured. I really think they should just make the pleks line a total shutdown line. Put Weisse with pleks and gionta so he brings some speed to that line. they really need to get Galchenyuk off that line and playing him and Vanek with Eller, should really give the offence a big boast. so once again, our shut down line hemmed in and we take a penalty.

Well with Gionta taking a crap shots from the point, Lundquist really has a pretty easy go of it! with all the talk about vanek not scoring, when was the last time the captain scored???

are we watching the same game?? I have scoring chances around 7-2 for the Rangers and we blow 3 PP chances without a real scoring opportinuty AND gave up a short handed goal.

we really could have used Beaulieu on the PP rather than emelin. Hated that lineup change. Can we PLEASE get Galchenyuk off of the Gionta-Pleks line??? Give those two Weisse and have Galchenyuk play with eller and Vanek. If we want to get Vanek going, he needs to be with creative players.

You have to see how things are going and adjust accordingly. this isn't the regular season, where you can just go watch the game tape and see what is wrong. You need to adjust on the fly. We are back alive, but we HAVE to adjust the lines next game. And we HAVE to mix up the PP. Hey, i did say, i hope they make up for their lousy play!!

All night long the D has been turning over the puck on simple plays. All night long Gionta and Pleks have been way too passive in their own zone. Useless in the O zone. I'm a big Pleks fan - but he has been horrible in this series. Even if you have Pleks out for the face-off, what the hell is MaxPac out there with them for??? Put Eller and Prust out there with him. I'll take the usual lousy face-off Pleks who plays with grit and is defensively a rock, over the pleks who is winning draws, but has been a liability all night long. It's bad enough how bad Pleks and Gionta have been, but they are wasting Galchenyuk on their line. Hopefully in OT, they both take a good look in the mirror when they get back in the room and make up for their friggin soft play. We got a gift and the friggin leaders for the team are the ones who screwed up.

Yes, but he actually CLEARS the zone! Everytime Pleks-gionta have been on, they are standing WATCHING the play or Pleks has been sliding around. It doesn't matter if you win the draw and cough up the friggin puck!

Gorges and Weaver be shot blocking machines but they have also been turnover machines. I've been calling for the Galchenyuk-eller-Vanek pairing since the last game. Everytime i see McDonough play, i hate Gainey a little more each day.
