I have to disagree with having Gomez and Gionta. I'd rather they stick with MaxPac and COle or Maxpac and Gionta until Cammy and Ak46 return. Leave Gomez for the second unit.

there is a difference benching someone for repeatedly making the same mistakes, and benching a guy like Emelin who is a healthy sratch for a long stretch and then immidiately rides the bench after making his first mistake. With Subban, his turnaround started last year when JM was FORCED to play him after injuries decimated the habs blue line. I really think they need to bring in a name former all star (I still say Larry Robinson) would have been the ideal choice. They need someone who has credibility as a former star to work with the young Dman like Subban, Weber, Emelin and Diaz. What was MaxPac's response while in Hamilton - I don't want to come up to Montreal if I'm going to be a 3rd/4th liner and he was highly critical of JM. He didn't learn anything or get his confidence from his benchings, he learned from his time in Hamilton. You can't have young players playing timid becuase they are afraid of making a mistake or the repurcssions of making a mistake.

Isn't that something the COACHING staff should be working with him in practice??? Work with him and commit to using him and Weber let them develop some chemistry.

We arnen't going to see Diaz, Weber and Emelin show what they are capable of without them getting a chance . I'd be willing to live with the short term pain of them learning from mistakes. When Gill or Spacek make blatent give aways, there ice time doesn't suffer. How long has Ruff stuck with Myers poor play, before finally make him a healthy scratch. Emelin made one mistake in a game last week and had his ass nailed to the bench. Gill and Spacek make those same mistakes EVERY friggin night.

it's not Martin's fault that as usual the tema is sitting on a lead in a game the other team didn't show up until the third period???? What they should be working on is in practice is commiting with two dman while Markov is out and work with Subban on shortening his wind-up and using that wrister he has. It is a coaching issue when the PP isn't clicking because the players appear to have little to no chemistry. What the friggin hell was Darche on the PP for???? Subban isn't being used when he SHOULD be used. We need him on the PP. He is our most creative player - use him at that time and take away some of his 5 on 5 time. Darche's take away ended up being a waste away.

I actually thought Weber was great on the PK in OT, as was Pleks. I agree with Pleks in the shootout. He has looked better this year, but last year he was horrible on the shootout.

The point is that the sabres didn't show up for the first two periods and we let them off the hook. We had a chance to bury them and our PP should have been much more effective and had it been more effective, we would have won. The PP issues are mainly issues with how players are being used. Why isn't Eller on the PP, while Darche still gets a chance. Darche had a clear cut breakaway, which he flubbed badly. The guy is not an offensive player, why can't the friggin 600 win coach see this??????? Why is Pleks on the point??? Spend time in practice committing to Weber/Subban and let them and the team develop chemistry. Why wasn't Subban on the 1st PP unit after we dodged a bullet with the penalty to start OT?????

He actually has stopped at least three breakaways i can remember this year. But this loss is not on Price. THere was no way this game should have gone to OT, let alone a shootout. We blow a game we had in the bag.

I'm too pissed to have the glass is half full perspective right now. How do we blow a two goal lead and lay an egg in the third period. To me this game is a showcase of why JM sucks as a coach and just makes plain stupid decisions.

Subban needs to be told you are the #1 dman and then practice with a set #1 unit - that DOES NOT include Pleks on the point. If i was a buffalo fan I'd be yelling "thank you Martin" about now. Yes MaxPac111 Crap

Cole was obviously being penalized for this bonehead penalty. Didn't matter the guy scored and assisted on our goals.

yeah, all Subban did was setup the last game winning goal in OT. But i guess he lacks a track record of scoring in OT on the PP

I've given up with Martin and his use of Darche. His under use or mis-use of Eller, Emelin, Ak46, Weber, diaz. I suppose he'll say Eller's historical stats with the limited PP time he has, demonstrates he is not a good PP player.

I actually think there shouldn't be any reason that Subban can't play the full PP - even if it means taking away some 5 on 5 time from him. I totally agree with the way Buffalo is playing. BUt i think we NEED to be up by more. there is still a lot of time left.

well, if and when we are ever healthy, i hope you are right. But i suspect that White would get benched ahead of Darche, as soon as he makes a single mistake.
