i feel a better effort should have been made to move up for our 2nd pick to get Espo. sure bob and trevor like the big puck moving defenseman and the Mcdonagh pick is fine but they still have to honor the tradition of the team and when this kid was teary eyed lastnight when we didnt take him you know how bad he wanted to play for his Habs.

Timmins told la presse that they tried to acquire a 3rd first round pick to get esposito but know one would bite.

i am upset over not picking Espo, but i dont agree with Pedneault there. thats right they owe us competitive teams which we havent seen in 14 years.

How do you not want him we can afford to take a chance on the hometown kid we have alot of depth up front when it comes to prospects. espo is fast an unreal goal scorer only flaw is his physical play but that can be easily fixed playing for Guy and Kirk

when Komisarek came in, in 03-04 he was apart of the top 6 played regularly besides the pp and went through alot of blunders and pains as we remember in the tampa series in 04 when he turned the puck over to richards in game 3 OT. thats the only downside to bringin in rookies to fill holes is the growing pains the first few years but look at Komi now and look at what Byrne and Cote will be.
