  1. This cracks me up, what would a season be in Montreal without a soap opera controversy My opinion is, who cares? He's a rookie fringe player, who cares what he does...if he screwed up, drop him to Hamilton for a year to smarten up. If he doesn't smarten up, cut him loose.
  2. I just heard he got hurt tonight and left the game vs Washington. Anyone see it?
  3. Closer on the height than the weight
  4. Listen, if you thought WE had a goaltending controversy...try and be the new kid on the block with an 8 year starting goalie who was the face of the franchise + a reliable backup getting booted to the curb. The goaltending situation is just plain weird in Washington now! Watch Kolzig shine for the rest of this season...a serious fire has been lit under him.
  5. That's for sure, but I seriously thought Danis looked pretty good tonight...Iowa hammered him with shots and there was no support. 4 of the goals were pretty solid goals that he couldn't be faulted on. It pretty much was a mercy pulling.
  6. Good first game by Huet for the Caps...notice his mask is already painted in Caps colours? That's very unusual so soon after a trade.
  7. Got my first look at Yann Danis this year tonight. He let 5 goals in after 2 periods. With the exception of the 5th goal (bad) he looked very confident. I know it's funny to say that about a goalie who allowed 5 goals in 2 periods, but the team was absolutely horrible in front of him tonight. Desjardins was quite impressive in his third period relief stint...this guy looks hungry!
  8. I was at the Bulldogs game tonight. Desjardins came in after Danis was down 5-0. I actually thought Danis didn't play bad, goal 5 was bad, but I thought Desjardins played really well in relief. He was also the last goalie on the ice in the warmup for either team and almost the last player. My first look at him and I liked him. I particularly like the "Desjardins" advertising on the boards behind him
  9. Huet was likely the best student Melanson ever had for the butterfly block...he got it and employed it better than most. I agree with you that he helped turn a disastrous situation around for the Habs. For that I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for him.
  10. NEWSFLASH, the goalie controversy ended (for now) when Huet was traded...there's no longer an argument
  11. Well if this is directed at me, I've never said or even thought Huet sucked, in fact I like him. I just never trusted him in big games and the softy to end the playoffs just underlined that for me. I've also never called Luongo or Kipper a goalie god...all goalies make mistakes and all goalies struggle. Luongo and Kipper have taken their teams deep in to the playoffs and performed well...has Huet? Will Huet ever?
  12. HAS BEEN AN ALL-STAR, not currently. And he's a rental player if they can't re-sign him.
  13. The controversy and argument is over. Wish Huet well in his travels, he was a supremely loyal soldier and a real godsend in a tough time for us. Look forward, but acknowledge the past.
  14. JMMR, Scheduling conflict on Friday! It's Carey Price bobble head night in Hamilton when the Bulldogs play Iowa. I dread missing the Habs, but I'm going to the Dogs game.
  15. Price has what it takes to be an all time great...consistency is the only issue. He looked amazing tonight. Grabs looke hungry, I love it! Hopefully he'll stay up long enough to prove himself (and learn some English )
  16. Probably the only French (France) goalie in league history. Huet was a great team player to the very end, gave it his all and I love the guy. I honestly don't believe he was the keeper to lead us to the promise land, but he was absolutely fantastic for us the time he was here! Thank you Christowal and Bon Chance except when you play the Habs mon ami
  17. That and one more time, just for Neech, HAL GILL IS UNDER CONTACT NEXT SEASON...Huet is a UFA...BIG DIF!
  18. Ya, nobody agrees...you must have watched the bizzaro Habs tonight. Pizza Pizza is what you get at the concession stands at The Bell Centre
  19. NYC, Hands down. My bro and I did a drunken stumble down a back alley in Manhatten and found the best pizza ever and for the life of me I can't remember the name. Place Tevere in Dorval *used to be really good about 5 years ago *, but not any more. Zorro's in Waikiki was awesome, but they've been gone for a while. If you want really crappy pizza, go just about anywhere in Toronto.
  20. Check that user name...Habsfan?!?! 5-1?!?!?! The sky is falling?!?! Gimme a break!
  21. Well I must say...I sure like the start of the Carey Price era. Sens losing 4-0 with less than a min to go to sweeten the deal!
  22. Well Price really stunk on that screenshot goal by the second highest goal scorer in the league. Carbo should have pulled him after that one...it would have been a different game
  23. Hey, I found some of those and gave 'em a try. Thumbs up, not bad at all.
