  1. Ribeiro hasn't been a prospect for a very long time. He had 116 games played under his belt before this season, so he had graduated from prospect status awhile ago, and he was bordering on "failure" I hope that Hossa and Hainsey can turn their mediocre seasons around, but I have a feeling that they're gonna be Andre Savard's first drafting mistakes since he's been in MTL.
  2. Savard had offered their first round pick of that year's draft, Mathieu Garon, and Andrei Markov. Waddell wanted the pick, Markov, and Theodore.
  3. Thanks for ripping off my article I signed it a few days ago when I found it on another board, but I doubt it'll do jack all. But, you gotta voice your opinion somehow. Lucky for me, I've got an outlet in Habsworld.net, where I can just open up my Microsoft Word, type in my opinion, and then lots of people can read about it and call me an idiot
  4. Uhhhh...Balej is NOT a defenceman. If I had to pick three.... In no particular order: 1) Recchi 2) Leclair 3) Vokoun
  5. I'd love to help, but I'm totally out on this one. Not only do I not want the broadcast corporations reaming my ass, but when my ISP finds out that I'm uploading about 100 gigs a month, they'll shit kick me. The only thing I can think of is to round up as many people as you can and ask a broadcasting corporation (such as RDS or CBC) to get webcasting capabilities for their hockey games. Make sure you tell them that you'd be willing to pay a reasonable fee for this service (because it's expensive shit, and they won't want to lose money). Roger's Sportsnet had live Webcasts of Ottawa 67s games for the last part of the season and playoffs. They did it free for this season to test out the capabilites and quality (which were excellent), and they said that they might charge for it later on. So it is a possibility. 6. Don't worry, you'll see an article from me very soon (I'm gonna wait to see what kind of suspension the AHL hands out) about the whole situation, and I've been on the side that Perezhogin isn't "innocent", but he certainly is just as guilty as Stafford is. Plus, I'll be talking about some other points about the game and the league itself.
  7. I've got a clip I recorded myself (quality is crap, but I'd like to see you find a better version at this moment). I don't have a place to upload it, though.
  8. Perreault doesn't want to leave Montreal because of his kids. I think he's proven what a valuable part of this team he can be. I just wish we didn't have a logjam at center. The way I see it, we don't need a "fourth" line anymore. Our first two lines should stay with our top scorers. Then the third line will be our youngsters and a veteran. Like Perezhogin and Hossa centered by Perreault. Then the fourth line will be our shutdown line. Zednik - Koivu - Kovalev Ryder - Ribeiro - (blank) (blank) - Perreault - Perezhogin Begin - Dowd - (blank) There are several options for the blanks. As much as I'd like to see Kastsitsyn in the lineup, he needs some seasoning in the CHL before he makes the big club, or he'll spend another year in Russia, then make the jump to the AHL when he's old enough. Bulis might play on the left of Perreault, which would add speed and defensive responsibility to that line, and free up a spot for Ward on the "grind line". Hossa might get a shot and play on the wing with Ribs, but who knows. All in all, it looks like a good lineup for next year. [Edited on 2004/4/28 by Toren]
  9. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Garon had played well, but not consistantly. He has not proven himself to be able to even hold his own in consecutive starts, because Theodore has been stealing the show. Garon's only real prayer is if (God forbid) Theo goes down with an injury next season and he has to play several games in a row. Garon is a good goalie, could be a great goalie, but he needs a lot of work, and he needs to prove himself as a starting goaltender, not just a good backup.
  10. We split the last four meetings 2-2. But Grahame was in net for 3 of those 4 games.
  11. Because O'Neil seperated his shoulder and ended his season.
  12. It's his release. He's got some slick moves that he can use to get in position. Then he uses his quick release to get a shot off. And not only his release, he also shoots a LOT. For the first 10 or 15 games, Ryder was in the top 5 in the league for shots.
  13. Ryder got away with one there. Could have easily been two minutes. Hopefully Axelsson is shaken up pretty good.
  14. And the Kovalev bandwagon starts again. I've been saying for awhile all this guy needs is to get into the next gear and he'll rip it up. And Theodore I beleive is tied for second on the team in scoring with two assists. I guess we'll forgive the weak goal
  15. I beleive if Begin didn't injure his shoulder mid-season, he would have won that trophy. He was the closest competitor to Boullion in terms of voting, but I think he brings so much to this team that goes unnoticed.
  16. Get me an interview with him! I would love to get an interview done with someone in the organization, wether it's an assistant trainer or a prospect. Ever since the Habs drafted him, I've been a massive Corey Locke fan. I've been watching the Rogers Webcasts of the 67s game, and that guy is something. Too bad Ottawa got eliminated from the playoffs in 7 games, though. It certainly wasn't from a lack of effort from Locke.
  17. I've never been in the habs locker room, so I can only assume this. It seems that there's nobody in the locker room that really fires this team up. Everyone knows Koivu leads by example, and he does a great job. But we need an alternate captain or veteran who's not afraid to yell in the locker room and fire the players up.
  18. I'm glad to see you're blaming Rivet for playing defence. Koivu was rubbed up against the boards in the offensive zone as the puck was being carried into the defensive zone. What do you want Rivet to do? Forecheck right beside Koivu? I guess you might've hit your head when you fell off the bandwagon.
  19. I'd like to see everyone on our defensive core get benched. Especially Souray. He's a liability out there tonight.
  20. Oh, man. What a beauty. He fakes the wrist shot, then brings it on the backhand and puts it mid-height blocker side.
  21. The fans who've never strapped on skates before, maybe.
  22. 3-0 Ottawa after an "excellent" backcheck by Quintal. I think we're about done.
