So everyone is whining about trading Garon, now you want to trade a very good young prospect to get what? This team is NOT going to win the Cup this year. Sorry to break your hearts but it's true. Maybe, just maybe, keeping the young players is the best thing Gainey can do. Inless you want to turn into the Leafs and trade every good young player you get for some over-the-hill bum then go ahead.

You'd think Garon has won three Vezina trophies or something. He's the back up to Jacon Labarerra in LA. So all these monday morning quarterbacks who say "Gainey never should have traded Garon for Bonk and Huet" were the ones who loved the move at the time. Anybody who knows a thing about hockey knows Radek Bonk is a quality, PROVEN top-6 NHL forward. He's been a consistant 20-goal, 50-pointish man for a number of years now. ANYBODY would have made that trade at the time. Once Bonk finally scores, it'll boast his confidence. I am sure if Gainey had kept Garon, all these "habs fans" would be screaming at him to trade him right now. So Gainey can't win. He makes trades he gets critized. He doesn't he gets crtizied. As for Ian Lapierrere, I love how people assume everything. Maybe he DIDN'T want to play in Montreal. Alot of players say they want to play in certain cities but money talks and bullshlt walks.

And Bonk for Tootoo!

How about this: Montreal: Nabokov, Stuart, Sturm, McCauley San Jose: Theodore, Souray, Ribeiro, Bulis Salaries are very close... DOOOOO IT!

Don't use him 5on5 or on the PK. Only use him on the PP. Obviously something has to be done and frankly there aren't alot of options.

Pick him up. His salary is under half a million, and stricly use him on the PP. 18 and 16 goals with Nashville a few years ago, a solid majority of those goals on the PP. They need to kick start there PP, and Delmore would help IMO espically with Souray out.

Christ pick up Delmore. Atleast he can quarterback the PP. Anything is better then Street.

Doug MacLean doesn't strike me as a flamming genius. Look at all the high picks he'd had over the last 5 years. You'd figure by accident they'd get in the playoffs.

Neither do I. Maybe they will flip Richardson or Hulse to someone for futures.

So in the new NHL they want salaries low and want more excitment in the game espically with young players. However you get punished if you run a successful organzation. Habs are getting punished thanks to these stupid rules. Why should we have to lose someone like Hainsey? He'll get claimed. Columbus? Pittsburgh? One of them.

Today the National Hockey League announced Montreal Canadiens defenseman Andrei Markov has been suspended for 3 games following an incidient on Saturday. "Mr.Markov's actions were completly unexpectable" said Colin Campbell as he counted money in an enevlope labelled "November 26th game payoff". Markov pushed offical Kevin Pollock after Mats Sundin scored the winning goalie in a one-sided game at the ACC. Markov's defensive partner was sent off at 20 minutes of the third for tripping Nikolai Andropoff. Pollock, who disallowed a goal earlier in the game and refused to say why, was seen leaving his Toronto area hotel decked out in Maple Leaf gear. He refused to comment. Canadiens coach Claude Julien took time away from his other job on the show "King of the Hill" to set the record straight. "There where officals at the game on Saturday? I didn't see any refs on the ice in the third, however I did see Richard Pedee and MLSE on the ice" Leafs heavy coach Pat Quinn made this comment. "I'm hungry move. Okay, now what where you saying?"
