Great period Habs!! Although 1 or 2 more goals that period would've been more appropriate based on their play, but whatever, i am happy we are on the board. GO HABS GO -

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HABS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO -
Your right. My apologies, that is hard to remember. BUT that was still exciting even if all of those goals were crappy.

haha the Leafs one is good too

That's probably what people said about Lapierre, who is not really offensively gifted IMO, and thats probably what people said about Ferland, and even when Marcel Hossa got called up that one stint he had and scored a goal in each of his first 6 games with the team, anyone remember that? Every call-up we have had this year has been exciting to watch, especially Grabovski with his speed and dangles...the young blood skates their butts off and Milroy probably will too. People are excited because this guy was probably starting to lose hope and he is givin it all he has and is leading Hamilton in scoring, this is his big break! 5 years in the minors or something like that, we have a right to be excited and I have a feeling he will be one of the better players on the ice tonight.

Aebischer is playing tonight everyone... And I think a Mod needs to edit that "S" word out of that post by SAKS-AVENUE lol, i am highly superstitious. -
I hear so many posters (probably/hopefully just out of frustration) on this board and on others that Montreal should pack their bags and unload their older players right now because we are done for. I DISAGREE. We almost have the exact same team as last year, except Zed and Bulis are gone, and Sammy and Johnson are in. Last year we provided the future Stanley Cup champions with a hefty fight, and although we lost 4 in a row against them, we had a 2-0 start and I remember reading an article and the Canes basically said that we were one of their toughest tests. This team itself can make the playoffs if they start playing like their usual selves. Look at the standings, we are in the exact same position as at least 4 other teams (Toronto, NY isles, Carolina, Tampa Bay...maybe ottawa). In my strong opinion, instead of giving up on our season right now LIKE ALOT OF POSTERS ARE SUGGESTING, Bob should get on the phones and bring us someone who will help in the playoffs, and help the absence of Kovalev and who will put the puck in the net. I still have complete faith in this team, this team sat in 4th place for a huge chunk of this season...we have had a playoff birth since day 1, and that should show we still deserve it. We are slipping right now but we can get back on track and if Bob can bring us some help that would be great. Basically, to sum this thread up I just want to say let's have some faith, this team CAN do it, and we are in no shape or form to be "sellers" right now. I think we are buyers. With a few improvements to this team we can make the playoffs, and make serious noise. GO HABS GO

I'm kind of glad we didnt get Foppa...that is a hefty price, if Montreal acquired forsberg we'd probably have to give up something like chipchura, price 1st and 3rd and that is too much for Montreal so give up for a 33 year old player who may only be a quick fix. By the way, this morning I had a dream that montreal traded for Elias...i woke up and still believed it haha i ran downstairs and logged onto tsn and realised it was in fact a dream -- THOSE ARE BRUTAL!! PULL THE GOD DAMN TRIGGER GAINEY

Kostitsyn is in Belarus right now because his gf had their baby, and Grabovski as we all know is injured, therefore we cannot use their services quite yet.

Cammalleri, the latest, according to Ron Fournier of CKAC.

Kovalev gone = good news? I beg to differ...sure sometime it appears that he is half assing it but he is one of the only players who can shoot the puck on this team. This is bad news!

LOL man some of the posts in here are RIDICULOUS Koivu should give up his C? Koivu sucks, Koivu is not a good leader, blah blah blah Face it, the team isnt winning and some of you are desperately looking for a reason for the losing and you pick your captain and rip him to shreds. Great fans you are... When Montreal starts winning again and Koivu and the rest of the team begin to play better, all of you doubters will finally SHUT UP. Koivu is the heart and soul of this team, a great captain and also a great player and the rest of the team will surely agree with this statement i just made.
