  1. Indeed. I have not seen him play often, however last season he scored 27 goals which is quite impressive. He's sucking this year, and he's been dubbed as a "lazy Russian", however with a change of scenery I have hope that he can find his legs again. Afterall, he is only 22 years old.
  2. Although I am unsure how credible Eklund is - as many people are - when you hear things like this it interests me. Zherdev would be a good pick up IMO. Very young player and very skilled.
  3. TSN is reporting Kovalev is questionable for tonight...although i would probably take Habsinsideout's word over TSN's.
  4. Kovalev, Rivet and Johnson are out again tonight. Kovalev is much needed on our powerplay, this is not good news. http://www.habsinsideout.com/2007/02/game_...ing_hab_1/#more As for the Devils, we won't have to deal with John Madden tonight as he is injured too, according to a Devils fan
  5. I disagree with Justintb...Ya, he's really a second line center but you can't hate on him because he's a #1 in Montreal because we have no true #1. Saku took a "stupid" penalty but he was really desperate for that puck and I'm sure many other players in the league would've taken a penalty when they NEEDED that puck at that point in the game. I know we are all pissed off about the team's performance but to go on a rampage and rip the captain apart after all he's been through is plain stupid. Koivu is the man, and he is a great captain, even though he will not get his jersey lifted to the rafters.
  6. I HAVE HAD IT, WITH THESE MOTHERF****** SNAKES, ON THIS MOTHERF****** PLANE!!!!! go habs go
  7. Although we are losing, sitting 3 points out of fourth place is not too shabby...But yes, we are losing. We are EASILY top 10 teams in the league in terms of prospects and young skill, so i dont see rebuilding a concern for us. we need players to make a big playoff push, and once we get in the playoffs *knock on wood* we can hopefully make some serious noise. i hope bob gets us a damn good player at this years deadline, i am sick and tired of him being so non active at the deadlines. Look at the successful teams in the league, and you will see that they are normally ACTIVE with trades and free agency. This team does not need to become a seller, and us fans cannot give up although we are so frustrated that we could punch our computer screens in. Bob needs to bring us someone who can help, and we will be fine and this team can easily recapture 4th place.
  8. I hate to say it but this time was better off with Ribeiro instead of Niinimaa...I don't care if he was supposedly "cancer" in the locker room, that didnt seem to affect his personal skill as well as his teammates...now that hes gone his linemates are struggling HARD Gaineys patience this year, in a way, is killing us in my opinion. He better swing some big deals before the deadline because this team needs a SHAKE UP.
  9. sickkk have fun!! MAKE LOTS OF NOISE! I completely agree...We aren't playing a team where we need Downey or Murray out there! We need speed and skill and Kostitsyn is tearing it up in the AHL as you said and we aren't giving him a chance!?! (so far that is..)
  10. I am crossing my fingers for Kosty to get called up! I'd much rather have him in there instead of Garth or Downey...no need for them tonight
  11. We need to incorporate Kovy with our powerplay more especially since the opposition is having an eye on Souray lately...Kovalev gets the puck on the outside hashmarks and sometimes holds onto it forever...what he needs to do is start letting those rocket wristers/slappers go that he has because they are sure to go in sometime!
  12. I was curiously reading the Bulldogs forum on their official site, and apparently Chipchura and KOSTITSYN dropped the gloves against Rochester...Would've never have thought that they would be the ones to do it...
  13. Hope its nothing serious... As Kaos stated earlier, this game is absolutely huge, and we need to set a positive trend and get us back in the W column. GOOO HABBSSSS GOOOOO I HAVEN'T GIVEN UP YET!!
  14. I think we should cut iamcanadien some slack, afterall he IS new here and that usually brings along automatic bitching about the goal song it seems with new members haha But I completely agree, and I'll still keep bitching about it like many others, this song has got to change, I miss the old goal song where everyone could sing along with it...People trying to sing along to Vertigo just aint a pretty sound haha Hopefully next season the Bell Centre DJ can come up with something new, but in the mean time all I care about is our boys gettin back on track GO HABS GO
  15. It's safe to say that Ottawa has become one of my more disliked teams in the league. Before, they were probably my second favorite team if Montreal were to never exist... Down with Toronto, down with Ottawa and Emery especially WHAT A GOON
  16. haha wow that girl is brutal although that interview still interested me
  17. This topic is beingly debated over at HFboards.com Almost every Sens fan on there is trying to stick up for Emery, but I just don't see how you can find a reason to stick up for him when you see the replay of that. Check the replays, Lapierre stumbled over a Sens D-man and softly collided into Emery. Sure, Lapierre could expect a punch, maybe a nice slash to the leg or something, but he should never expect a heavy goalie stick decking him in the visor. If he wasn't wearing a visor, this topic would've been huge as Wamsley01 said because there wouldve probably been blood shed. I hope Emery gets at LEAST 2 games, but knowing the NHL it will probably be a one game suspension.
  18. Horcoff is not a bad player, however I don't see him as being the kind of center we need. I do not think he is offensively gifted ENOUGH to help this team in the way we need to be helped.
  19. SAKS-AVENUE, for the life of me, sometimes the things that Carbonneau does confuses the crap out of me...Not saying I don't like him, but he is downright frustrating sometimes...Unless Perezhogin is about to be traded, I do not understand Carbo's thinking.
  20. Samsonov is playing and that is GOOD NEWS. I don't care if he hasn't been producing, he helps our club! We NEVER win with Markov out of the lineup, so now that he's back, its more than helping us
  21. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...431/1053/SPORTS While the Wings might have interest in one of the Blues' forwards, they remain most interested in Philadelphia's Forsberg -- and the interest appears to be mutual. Forsberg is said to be willing to renounce his no-trade clause for three teams -- Detroit, Montreal and Anaheim.

  23. Emery is playing awesome tonight.... I think the goal on the penalty shot negates the first 2:00
  24. LATENDRESSE PENALTY SHOT + He's bleeding...does that give us a PP too?
