  1. lol... I'm still waiting for Ribeiro to bulk-up , I've been waiting for years. Though I will admit that last year Ribeiro did look a BIT stronger , but he still has a ways to go... What exactly is Mike afraid of? That he'll lose speed? ... He has no speed... hehehe... HIT THE GYM MIKE! If he bulked up and decided to focus on SHOOTING and not passing he could be something like Robitallie...
  2. The habs like Staal because he had such a great season despite being a physically "weak" player , the habs know that Staal has lots of room to "fill-out" and they feel that he will be an even better player once he does fill-out. At least thats what I've read... Yeah that's true, I'm just tired of drafting string beans. I mean Komisarek was filled out pretty good when we drafted him, now he's even bigger. Staal will get bigger no doubt, and not that he's week I just think we really need a talented and tough centre to go up against the Thornton's, Sundin's, Lecavalier's, Primeau's, Roenick's and so on.
  3. He'll Bluk up, lets put him on Rib's weight gaining plan... That'll work... :guru:
  4. Yeah, I hope that missing D-man would be someone would can supply some for offense from the Defense... a Niniimaa type. Why Staal? He's not physical, just solid... we've been missng toughness up the middle forever. Horton looks like a killer.
  5. Poor Als lost so many players this offseason... I'm not expecting big things this year.
  6. Habsaku, we're not looking for those players to fall... we know they won't. We're looking to trade up, and if we do... there are many possibilites.
  7. I'm excited to see what he'll do next year with the Dogs, he's got crazy offensive skills... could turn into another nice surprise. Anyways, I'm glad we signed him and he'll get the chance. [Edited on 2003/6/18 by Habby1197] [Edited on 2003/6/18 by Habby1197]
  8. With Rumours of Hossa + (something else) and our #10 overall going for the #1 Pick... Horton I hope... Let's see what our team would eventually look like.... Zednik Koivu Ward Bulis Horton Perezhogin Ryder Higgins Plekanec ???-???-??? Hainsey-Komi Markov-Rivet Souray-??? Theo Garon That could be what we look like somewhat in 2004-2005.
  9. I really dont want Staal... He's not physical, we need people that bang or are at least a little mean. Nathan Horton would be nice, or even Zherdev who is pure skill... This is all if we move up of course. [Edited on 2003/6/18 by Habby1197]
  10. http://www.rds.ca/cgi-bin/nouvelles?site=r...on&sport=#82313 Sweeney a FA, let's hope he becomes a Leaf. title typo [Edité le 2003-6-17 par sakiqc]
  11. We don't have a choice... Saku won't take nor does he deserve another one year deal.
  12. Montreal-Theodore Toronto-Belfour Boston-? Possibles... Hackett, Sheilds, Potvin, Osgood. Buffalo-? Possibles... Biron, Miller Ottawa-Lalime Philly-? Possibles... 13. Kariya just needs to start handling the puck, and skating with it. His passing before the blue line isn't going to help them. He is by far the most skilled player on the team, he's gotta lead the attacj by carrying the puck in the zone, and letting a few shots go. We all know his shot...
  14. All I want for next year is to have team togetherness... It can go a long way. No more looks of disgust when a pass isn't perfect, no more not sticking up for teamates... no more of that. If the Habs play as a group, get a player or 2... no reason they can't be the Ducks of '03.
  15. He's the key, depending on who wants him, who's willing to trade uo to get him... going to be very intresting. He won't go first overall... but he could go to the Canes or Pens... and even Flyers or Avs. The first pick will be quick, after that... alot of thinking and last minute deals will go on. 16. Who here likes my Ribs+pick #10 for Pick #3 and draft Zherdev He's going to be awesome.
  17. I really think game 6 will either be a blowout NJ win... Or a OT Ducks win. The Ducks are either out of gas, or they'll come up with their best game to push it to 7. Anything can happen in game 7, Ducks just need that one game and then it comes down to who wants it more.
  18. I wish they showed all the games, RDS should cover them... I mean it's got something to do with the Habs, anyways... let's hope they win. It's not the Stanley Cup, but having our young players win something together is great for the future.
  19. I'm sure getting Markov to sign won't be much of a problem at all. I just hope it's done before training camp, because as we all know if you miss camp, it's not so easy to get going. Koivu... 2 years 9 million Markov 2 years 4 million Ribs 1 year 1 million Dwyer I'm not so sure will be back.
  20. Yeah! Go Ducks! Stumpy... who else would score the big OT goal Go Ducks Go!
  21. I'm totally thrilled! Gainey excels where AS was weak... Trades and Contracts. We still have AS for the draft and to evaluate talent. IMO this is not a demotion for AS... he's still going to have a pretty big impact on things and deservingly so. Audette you can be sure is on his way out if Gainey can move him somehow. I really didn't have many hopes for next year because we're still stuck with a lot of overpaid UFA's to be... but now with Gainey things are looking better... we'll be a great team in 2-3 years... I'm talking top 3 in the confrence. GO HABS GO :hlogo:
  22. Bouillion staying wasn't a bad idea... As of right now... Markov-Rivet Souray-Quintal ???-Komi Could be Hainsey... or Boullion... maybe they will each play 40 games each as a 6th Dman... With the signing of Boullion it means we'll either Trade Brisebois in a 2 for 1 for another forward... or for a pick... or something like that. Brisebois won't be tarded for another Dman... unless Souray can't come back for next year.
  23. Garon will play here for at least 2 years and play 20 games next year, and maybe 25 the year after... If he shows that he's ready to break out like Turco... We'll deal him then... when he has some serious value. We won't find a back up for much cheaper... and he's a pretty damn good one. Everyone stop worrying about... Chow, Juneau, Dackell, Dykhuis, Perreault, Quintal and whoever else... they are all gone and UFA's after the 2003-2004 season... Let's just work on Trading Brisebois...
  24. Garon is 100% worth more than Cechmanek. Garon will get better... Cechmanek won't. Garon makes 1 million per season... Roman makes almost 4 times that. Roman is worth as much a Hackett, Potvin or any other goalie like that on the decline... Garon has way more value. By way more value I mean a first round pick at least.
  25. It's called home Ice Advantage... They won the series 4-1... Roy wasn't losing that series even if they went back to LA down 2-0.
