  1. Let me get this straight, when you call other people silly, it's your opinion. If I call someone silly for starting a thread, it's because of my ego? I'm not a close-minded person. If you back up your opinion well enough, my mind can be changed. Instead, when I give you this opportunity, instead of defending your position, you start calling me a big ego. This attitude is typical of a close-minded person who sees that he is wrong. After you realize that you are beat and can no longer defend your position, you resort to name calling.
  2. I hate to say this, but your view on the situation is typical of a very close-minded person, Leafs Suck. You hold the position that ~moeman was banned because of his views, despite the fact that we have stated many, many times that his poor behavior was the cause, not his opinions. You ignore the evidence and continue to put forth your disproven ideas. His opinions were not offensive, the way he stated his ideas was offensive. Racist and frequent foul langauge is not tolerated on HW. Right now, Leafs Suck, the only difference between you and ~moeman is that you heeded the Mods' warnings about your use of foul and racist language. If we banned ~moeman because of his opinion of Gretzky, why have you not been banned? It's becuase you respect the rules. ~moeman did not, so we had no other choice but to ban him. 3. I never said YOU start these kinds of threads. I'm just saying it's funny that you start one after laughing at others for doing something very similiar. They start threads about people who are doing well and not on the Habs and they wish were back. You start a thread about a current habs (albeit the coach) who is doing poorly and you wish was gone. Calling for the coach's head is no different than the threads calling for Ribeiro's head, Souray's head, Bonk's head, etc. http://www.habsworld.net/forum/viewthread.php?tid=4869
  4. Come on, every time the Habs struggle, people call for the coach's head. I see no difference between this and I miss so-and-so former player. But as I said, I've wanted Julien's head for a while now.
  5. Geez, every time the Habs lose a few games, the boo-birds come out and call for Julien's head... Haha, now that I'm done mocking you for hating on ex-habs threads, I agree. I've never liked the way Julien handles the lines. Even when the team made the playoffs under him, I felt he could have handled the team better. His likely replacement, Jarvis, I think would be even worse though. His philosophy seemed to be "play rookies on the back lines so they learn their place" while he was coaching Hamilton. Heck, maybe it's his influence that leads Julien to reward Perezhogin's strong play with 6 minutes a game. If they dump Julien, I want somebody to come in from outside the system. I want somebody to bring in a new perspective and breathe some new life into the team.
  6. Oh okay. Aren't you not supposed to do that though? What would be wrong about deleting one of your own posts? COME ON HABS!
  7. As I said above, it's perfectly ok if you want to invite them over. This is clearly not spamming other sites, which is the only problem we might have with advertising HW.

    ~moeman

If you have not noticed, ~moeman has been banned from HabsWorld. Over the course of the past week or so, ~moeman's posts became increasingly hateful and disruptive. He was warned many times to start respecting HabsWorld's rules, but he rejected every attempt we made. It all started when I changed the name of one of his threads because it mis-represented the content that he posted. Despite many attempts to explain why the title was changed, ~moeman insisted on spreading the rumor that HW Mods changed his title because we disagreed with his opinion about Wayne Gretzky. This could not be further from the truth. The HW Team respects the opinions of all members, no matter what they are. As I said, his title was changed because it misrepresented the information that the thread was about. It was a harmless act, but he chose to make a big deal about it and tried to make the HW Mods look bad. After this initial confrontation, ~moeman made a number of racist and foul comments, some of which were deleted, as per the HW policy on respect. We continued to ask him to start following the rules, but instead responded by calling the HW Mods fascists. This was the last straw, so he was banned from HW due to his repeatedly breaking HabsWorld's rule about respect. When the evidence was shown, not a single Mod voted to keep ~moeman as a member. The reason we are telling you this is because it has been reported that ~moeman has started emailing HW members, telling people that HW mods banned him because he dislikes Wayne Gretzky and that we are fascists, whom he equates to mail-bombers. We just wanted to let people know what really happened, in case you happen to recieve one of his very hateful emails. His disgraceful response just proves that ~moeman has no respect for our members. Sincerely, HW Staff
  9. Show me in this thread where anyone comes close to saying "We should have kept Hainsey." That's right, nowhere. This thread is simply talking about a great individual effort made by Hainsey. It's not about the topic that you seem to think it's about. What is so bad about praising an ex-Habs player? Does it make YOU regret trading him or something? Personally, I wish Hainsey the best. [Edited on 12-15-05 by Fanpuck33]
  10. Ok, let me get this straight: ~moeman can bash Gretzky, but sakiqc isn't allowed to praise him? What gives? And show me, what facts have been given? The closest thing I can find is "Gretzky is a traitor." How on Earth is he a traitor? A traitor to who? Where is the evidence?
  11. Woah, I agree with Leafs Suck on something?
  12. You plagiarized that off of Ecklund's site. What an idiot he is. He doesn't know the difference between the WNBC and NBC sites. Come on Ecklund, how do you expect people to trust you if you do stupid stuff like this? goonhad, Ecklund is an idiot, don't listen to anything he says.
  13. Huh? I don't see anyone calling for Gainey's head for letting Hainsey go, or anyone wishing Hainsey were still around. I see people wishing Hainsey the best in Columbus and being impressed by a great end-to-end rush. [Edited on 12-15-05 by Fanpuck33]
  14. Um, that site is for WNBC, which I believe is the New York NBC station. This isn't the actual NBC site. Also, there are a number of options with a lot fewer votes than Hockey. Lol, not to mention nobody is taking the poll seriously, as 29% have said curling. Nothing against curling, but very few in the US give a damn about curling.
  15. I don't see why there would be any reason not to invite them over. It wouldn't be spamming the Wild board, which is the only problem we have in terms of spreading the word about HW.
  16. Way to make a huge generalization based on a single sample. As for the show, I watched season 2, and I thought it was a good show. I hate reality television, but this show is at least watchable. I heard the family from Cincinnati won, the kids went to the same high school that a number of my housemates last year went to. Good for them. I heard one kid was wearing a Who-Dey shirt, GO BENGALS!
  17. So, Gretzky hates Theo? "Theodore was very good tonight," Gretzky said. "... Listen, I've said it many times, the pressure he faces every day playing in Montreal, he handles it extremely well. I have the utmost respect for him as a player." [Edited on 12-14-05 by Fanpuck33]
  18. Yep, the Habs sure were an offensive power house when Therrien was around. *sarcasm* Therrien and Julien were both great AHL coaches. In my opinion, neither is much more than that. I wasn't a fan of Therrien, and I'm not a fan of Julien. But seriously, bringing back a coach they fired, that's just silly. Only the Yankees do that [Edited on 12-13-05 by Fanpuck33]
  19. Congrats to everyone who has reacher a milestone lately. It's amazing how much HW has grown since the end of the lockout.
  20. Poulin was a solid defensive player, Mick Vukota was a tough guy, played a few games with the Habs. Ulanov was a solid D-man. Richer was nearing the end of his career, not a big loss. Wilkie was a young D-man who never made much of himself. And we all know Tucker. I remember when the Habs made this trade, during their purge of young talent. We traded a lot of young talent back then, and this was one of my least favorite trades. Tucker was one of my favorite Habs at the time. I liked the amount of enthusiasm and heart he seemed to display on the ice. Plus, he was a tough guy with some skill, an always valuable asset.
  21. Yes, we drafted him 200th overall in the 2005 entry draft.
  22. That's what I'm trying to say, I have no ideas! Well, at least not general ideas. I always trying to get personal gifts, so it's impossible for me to think of something without knowing the person.
  23. I knew this was coming, and I had heard the team thinks it will lose millions of dollars this season. The thing that I don't understand is how a team can sell 95% of its tickets and still lose so much money. That tells me that there is a problem in the management of that team. If they knew they were going to lose so much money, why did they spend so much money on Recchi, LeClair, Gonchar, Palffy, etc? And how do they expect a new arena to help matters? New arenas are always smaller than the old ones, and will a less than 5% increase in attendance help matters? I don't think so.
  24. I never said it was a mistake, I'm just saying I was sad to see him go. When the decision was made, there simply was not room for him. Sure, played only a few games in Montreal, but he played well down in Hamilton. I was looking forward to see if he could perform at the NHL level. Primarily I was sad to see him go because of how shallow our depth at D was. Do I wish we'd have kept him? Sure, I liked the kid. Am I upset that he is gone? Not really. There was simply not room for him at the time he was forced onto waivers.
