  1. Guru used to seem like a decent guy, but most of the time he just tries to get on people's nerves. He's quite good at it too. There are worse people around for sure, but if he doesn't like you, he will let you have it. I didn't used to have a problem with him, but I recently got sick of guys like him and an increased number of trolls and left ESPN. From what I hear, KoZed still keeps in touch with some guys through fantasy leagues, but he doesn't post anywhere anymore. I guess he got a life, unlike the rest of us, haha.
  2. I think I am glad the game wasn't on here in the states, I don't think I could have handled watching this game. I will never understand how a team can come out so flat in the first game of a playoff series. There's no excuse for this.
  3. So we're getting killed and SurferNetwork is telling me it no longer carries CJAD. ARG!
  4. I don't know how reliable http://www.thefourthperiod.com/ is, but they list the salaries for each player on the team pages, and it looks to me like Montreal's is up to date, and I believe Boston's is as well. Not totally sure if all the info is correct, but it seems about right to me. By the way, since it's a .com, I assume it's in American dollars. [Edited on 4-6-04 by Fanpuck33]
  5. Thanks, glad to be here. I am glad Guru told me to run over here after I complained about how bad the ESPN boards are. Otherwise I might not have found this site. You guys do awesome work here, all I do talk. This site has become my top source for Habs info. So hard to find here in Ohio, and most other websites aren't updated as much as this one is. The true congrats should go to all who work on the site!
  6. I saw that puck got props for 1000 posts, so I figured I'd congratulate sakiqc for 500 posts: Thanks for the posts and the great work on the whole site, keep up the good work.
  7. I think Ryder will show the world who the true rookie of the year is. Neither has playoff experience, but there is a lot more pressure on Raycroft, and I don't think he will be able to take it. I mean, Ryder plays for the Habs, a difficult team to play for. There's pressure on you every game, so he's used to it. Raycroft will win the Calder, but Ryder will show us the true rookie of the year. Here's to Raycroft and the Bruins: :-^
  8. I want Futurama back too!
  9. Did the top of the page change recently to provide links to each forum, or am I just blind and never noticed them before? [Edited on 2005-1-3 by puck7x]
  10. You probably have to live in Minnesota or the New England area to get CBC, and I doubt they even have it there. YOu probably need a dish to get CBC most places in the US.
  11. Alas, game 1 is not on ESPN or ESPN2.
  12. Too bad Jake Plummer is their QB, he is a lousy bum. And Garrison Hearst better not be the starting RB, he is washed up.
  13. Terrell Davis averaged 5.0+ per carry only one time. Barry Sanders averaged 5.0 over his entire career. When Davis' injuries began, he was already 29, and everyone knows running backs fade fast at age 30. Had Davis gotten an earlier start to his career, he might be able to be listed with the all-time greats. As it is, he only had a few good seasons. He shouldn't even be voted into the Hall of Fame. To get in, you need to show dominance at the position in your era. 3-4 years is no era.
  14. Dags finishes 4th on the team in goal scoring in only 50 games. If only he could play with heart game in and game out, I think he could put up some good numbers playing with Ribs over a full season.
  15. Nowhere near the best ever. Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Jim Brown, and Emmitt Smith (even though I can't stand him) are just the guys off the top of my head who are better than Terrel Davis. And the verdict is still out on guys like Marshall Faulk, Jamal Lewis, and Ricky Williams. Terrell had what, three good years? And that was on a team with an amazing offensive line. The only reason he got 2,000 yards was becuase they gave him the ball like 40 times in the last game. Denver can put anyone in their backfield and get production. They had 4 different 1,000 yard rushers in 4 years. [Edited on 4-4-04 by Fanpuck33]
  16. Finally, the offense gets going again. Good sign for the playoffs I hope.
  17. No draft, you just buy players. 1 C, 2 W, 2 D, 1 D, and an extra attacker. You get 30,000,000 to spend on the 7 players, so spend wisely.
  18. I meant to mention the point of Ryder making it back up from there. Since he just did it, what are the chances of another guy doing it soon? Not very good.
  19. Boy, you really have to manage the money well. I hoped to get St. Louis, but not for 9.5 million out of 30 million total. Too bad, he is easily my favortie non-habs. [Edited on 4-3-04 by Fanpuck33]
  20. Oh yeah, forgot about him. I knew Fichaud was in Hamilton, and I thought the other goalie down there was Michaud, but it is indeed J.F. Damphousse. So I guess Michaud hasn't done anything too good, since he's been in the ECHL. Not too many guys make it up to the NHL from there. Columbus Ohio had a team for 7-8 years, and I think only 5 guys ever made it to the NHL.
  21. Arg, how I wish I could get my hands on a jersey for 25% off.

    Chat

The only time it would be really useful is during games, but most people are either at the game or watching it on TV, so they aren't here chatting. I have been there a few times with other people, and it didn't work, it kept signing people in and out and messages never got sent.
