  1. I don't think they can compete with us" - Brian Rolston when asked about Habs We are going to see about that. We will surely see them first round.
  2. :puke: This sucks! All I can hope is the team takes this as a wake up call. If we don't turn things around against the Flyers tomorrow, we are toast. Come on boys.......
  3. I do hope for the Devils. A Scott Stevens-less Devils that is. Brodeur can steal the show but he can't stop everything. Scott Stevens on the other hand can absolutely crush opponents. IMO he is the best all around player in the game. I didn't like what i saw against the bruins the other night. They thumped us about pretty good. Raycroft can be just as good as Brodeur. The leafs......when they are playing as a team, they are good. I do think Eddie the Eagle can be great but he can be horrible too. Ever watched him handle the puck? The Flyers have a good team. Is Eche good enough? I'm not so sure. We can beat them with solid defensive play. Ottawa is scary. We have a tough time against the clutching and grabbing teams. Ottawa is the king of such teams. I think Lalime is useless (if his leg is okay to play) he will be their downfall. We would have to find a way of beating the grabbing game of theirs........ The Habs are a pretty good team. I certainly expect Theo to be great. Koivu is fantastic, the best player on our team bar none. Zeddy has proven he can seriously step it up in the playoffs (that says alot because he is great to begin with). Ryder will continue with his amazing play. He is our future as well as a future league leader. I think playoff success will depend on the unknowns. Kovalev will need to be the 6.5 million dollar man for real. Can the checking line be effective? Will Juneau's years of experience mean anything? Will koivu's leadership push others to reach the next level? Will Komisarek continue to grow and improve? Will souray get over his wrist injury and start hammering pucks from the blue line again? Will we answer the physical play and after whistle scrums or will Koivu be out there trying to defend himself? I am exited.....We have beaten everyone we will have to face. Our future is so very bright...... :ghg:
  4. There was an awful lot of clutching and grabbing in the game. It really kills us. We can't skate....I'm not sure what CJ can do about it though. What I really didn't like was the scums after the whistle. We had nobody to take care of business. Green needed his face punched off.
  5. Brisebois will be playing, that will be a big help.
  6. Great summary of the upcoming game! This is a must win for us. Are we a playoff team or not? The Bruins will be flying after loosing to the laffs the other night. They need this win too. I want CJ to set the lines. No more pissing around trying this or that. Set the lines already. Kovalev is under achieving IMO. I hope he shows up in a big way. I personally think Begin - Perrault - Kovalev would be an incredible line. Then again I might be nuts! :ghg:
  7. NHL Network just had an interview with CJ. He said Souray will play wednesday against the Islanders. I will be glad to have him back. I hope he gets that bullet shot going again! :hlogo:
  8. Your point is well spoken and I understand what you are saying. I do think he deserves (Kovalev) a chance to play on a line with the same players for a couple of weeks before we judge him. He has played on the first line for a game, then on the second for a few, then on the third, then on the first for a while again. His talents as well as his problems are unknown really. His linemates don't really know who he is. Julienne needs to stop moving him around. The playoffs will make or break him. He will be on one line, not three. If he sucks then see ya later.
  9. Could not disagree more. Watch him with the puck. The guy is excellent. He has been flopped around from line to line, playing with different people all the time. He needs to be put on a line and left there. Kovy and his linemates need time to gel. Kovalev will make a differnce in the playoffs. :hlogo:
  10. I agree completely. They own both zones. We can't set up anything. They grab and hold on every play. Come on ref, let's see some obstruction and holding penalties.
  11. Theo is playing excellent tonight. Too bad his effort is wasted. sens are flying
  12. The Habs are working hard but are being outplayed. Ottawa is winning most of the board scrums and they are all over us in both zones. I think CJ needs to stop ######ing with the lines. This is reality time for us. Playoff hockey is here and now. Come on Habs......... :ghg:
  13. Take Dagenais and put him in the stands selling hotdogs. He is useless. :puke:
  14. There is a disturbing fact I just heard. TSN just said that the Habs are 10 games below 500 against their own division. wow, that sucks!
  15. Wow, Buffalo does not want to die. Habs on their heels a bit here.
  16. I really like the way he has been playing. The way he has handled himself in the media nut house that Montreal is, is excellent. If he shows up in the playoffs, he will get an offer. (if nothing crazy happens with the new bargaining agreement)
  17. I really don't have much of a preferance. The leafs are probably my least favorite opponent. Everyone else has so so goaltending. Raycroft can be insane but not every game. Eche, Lalime, Habibulin can stand on their heads from time to time but generally they are average. Brodeur is incredible but he can't save them all. We have shown we have the depth to beat the Devils.
  18. Excellent game. We have three solid scoring lines now. All lines committed to defence. I can't believe it but the Habs actually have DEPTH! We are young and have a very bright future ahead of us. Ryder continues to shine. The board work from this kid just blows me away. I was so happy for Kovalev to get that empty netter. I hope it gets the monkey off his back. He has been playing really good hockey the past couple of games. The more I watch, the more I realize that it's his linemates tha need to step up their game. They seem stunned when Kovy gets them the puck. I'm happy as shit with our team. :ghg:
  19. I was only able to watch the last 10 mins of the third and ot. Garon was amazing - again. Habs looked good, but didn't see much of Koivu's line in what I watched. Lots of our third line though. anyway good game from what I was able to see and magnificent game for Garon!
  20. I'm not sure what I think about this. I am not in any way a Dagenais fan. I don't care if he makes $50 a season or 5 million. The habs really have no where else to put him. He does not fit on a two way third line. He can't play the checking line. He has not even close to enough work ethic or skill to play on the first line. That leaves the second line. He does have a good shot and I believe a very misleading plus 13. The fact is he does score goals. Ryder will fit in with the third line. Some hard workers there all with the ability to put points on the board. I am a little dissapointed to break up the begin, Dowd, Ward line. They had some real gelling going on. I'm trying to be open minded about this. It is an experiment after all. :ghg:
  21. It amazes me just how terrible the Habs can play defensively at times. The forecheck of the leafs has caused turn overs, give aways and too many chances that shouldn't be. It pisses me off! :ghg:
  22. Pretty good game so far. Habs are flying especially the first line. We will win this game. :ghg:
