INTENSE We are starting to take it to them a little bit. Great chances in the third. we need to get the puck up. Raycroft is too good down low. :ghg: -

Prime Minister Koivu replied to sakiqc's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Come on guys! It's only 1-0, we are playing better. Yes our pp was shit and our forwards look scared but we are playing better. If we come out with some punch in the second, we can turn this game around. If we win this game, we have a shot at the series. We loose and we are done. SAKU SAKU SAKU SAKU :ghg: -

I hope to hell CJ makes some changes. Komi is a must, we need his size badly. Kovalev on the checking line is stupid. It would be better to just sit him and take him off the point on the pp. I hope the refs are better tonight as well. Alot of questionable calls in the first game. Souray took a couple that were just nuts. We need to answer the physical play. Well we need to do everything better tonight. Theo will be better. The loss was not his fault but he was not the super goalie he can be. 2-1 Habs :hlogo: -
HABS vs BRUINS: Game 1, April 7th

The Habs had several quality chances in the second and third. I mean quality chances. Zed should have had 2 goals. Things are not lost. :ghg: -
HABS vs BRUINS: Game 1, April 7th
Prime Minister Koivu replied to puck7x's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
We win game two and we are right back in it. CJ needs to do something about offence. Ryder played hardly at all. We will see how CJ answers in the next game. -
Zed has come so close a couple of times. It's almost like he teleports himself into position. The guy will score, he is always in the right place. kovy has looked good. I hope like hell he can break loose.

Prime Minister Koivu replied to puck7x's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Habs in six..... I did like Kovalev on the third line. He actually had some decent chances. Bulis on the first was great. I hate dags but he can score. Maybe give the guy a shot on the second. Komi is a must. We need his size against the bigger bruins. :ghg: -
We might be facing OTT after all
Prime Minister Koivu replied to Habs77's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
I really don't know if i can handle the frigging leaf media and the fans if we play them first round. I hate living in laffville! I hope boston beats jersey on sunday. Stoopid leafs:puke: -
HABS vs SABRES: Game thread (april 3rd)
Prime Minister Koivu replied to puck7x's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
We are winning so it's a good game. Things look pretty sloppy though. I'm dying to find out who we play first round. It looks like it will be Boston if they win tomorrow. If not, it looks like its the laffs. -

HABS vs. Flyers - Game Thread
Prime Minister Koivu replied to bombTHEice's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
I understand what your trying to say. our 3rd/4th line players: Joé Juneau, Jan Bulis, Jim Dowd, Andreas Dackell, Steve Bégin, Jason Ward, Darren Langdon, Niklas Sundstrom which two do we sit out? Langdon + Juneau? We need them both. Langdon's toughness is a must. I think you guys generally unerestimate Juneau. Bulis is awesome. Begin is obviously a must. Dackell is an excelent checker. Dowd plays his position fantastically. Ward plays well and is an offensive threat. Sundstrom maybe a sitter but the guy plays well and he can score. We can continue to rotate the lines but I seriously think we need to stop that. The Habs need to develop chemestry. Tough job for CJ:?- -

I agree completely. Kovalev should be on the first line. It was never given a chance. CJ needs to set the lines though. If Kovy goes on the first line, then he stays there. -

We are playing well. Souray looks a little shaky though. The ref is an idiot, wow does he ever suck. We are working hard I like to see it. They need to take Kovalev off the point on the pp. The guy is an excellent puck cycler down low. Why the hell is he on the point? Even if we loose this one, we look so much better than we did last night. -
HABS vs. ISLANDERS **Game Thread** 31 March 2004
Prime Minister Koivu replied to spent's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
I will agree that during the after whistle scrums, there was nobody to rough it up. I still have high expectations (or hopes) for the Habs come playoff time. We can play excellent hockey. It just pisses me off when we play so bad. -

Prime Minister Koivu replied to spent's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
It's not the fact that we may loose all the remaining games, it is the fact that we look terrible. Lazy, stupid plays, poor decisions in both zones, some of the worst defensive hockey I have seen. We look lifeless...... We will surely finish in 7th. The games mean nothing as far as the playoffs go. But they mean something when we play this bad. IMO -
HABS vs. ISLANDERS **Game Thread** 31 March 2004
Prime Minister Koivu replied to spent's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
I disagree. These final regular season games are meaningless to the habs, 2 years ago before the playoffs we lost our final 2 games, yet we went onto upset the #1 seed. Even if we lose-out the rest of the season I still like our chances in the playoffs, especially since the stomach flu will probably be long gone by then... Ohh and... I think we're going to be pounded even worse tomorrow by the Flyers then we are being tonight by the Isles. The Flyers are waiting for us in Montreal... They are fighting for the Atlantic with NJ, and they are getting Desjardins and Primeau back in the lineup... Habs are dead... but hey, I could be wrong... I hope your right Puck. I'm more than a little scared. We haven't looked that good since the western road trip....... -
HABS vs. ISLANDERS **Game Thread** 31 March 2004

There needs to be a serious talk in the dressing room. Koivu needs to step up here. The game against the Flyers will be the test. If we play like shit then we are first round broom boys. -

I don't think they can compete with us" - Brian Rolston when asked about Habs We are going to see about that. We will surely see them first round.
