Here come the penalties........................

The 2 goalie system CAN work, look at the scheduling this year. Lots of back-to-back games, and 4 in 5 nights etc..... They compressed the schedule to accomodate the players for the olympics. True, most games now are withing the division/conference but there's still travel/hotels/game-day skates etc....

How much longer is Theo out for? How long will he take to get back into game shape? How will he play when/if he does come back?....................... :hlogo: The way I see it, we got something for nothing; since he's currently on the shelf, and has been having trouble (IMO) with his new equipment. And now he'll have to come back after an extended layoff. If you look at career #'s for both their similiar. Bob did this deal now, to save cap space; and maybe pull off a deal or 2 tomorrow. If not he'll use the extra $$ over the summer, there could be lots of UFA's available this summer. Our problem hasn't been our goaltending this year(Theo's "off year" aside), it's been scoring and getting another established Dman.

TEL HIM (don't ask)..... he's NOT the play-by-play man! He's there as the "color" man, and is suppose to "fill us in" during stoppages in play. When play starts back up SHUT UP! He may know hockey but he doesn't do his assigned job very well.............and he needs to buy a thesaurus and build his vocabulary. Enough with the "monster", "Flashing" on a shot, "got filled-in", "malache crunch" "Kbonk" etc.....

That was a dive (on Koviu's penalty), and so was the Souray penalty........Tucker went down like he's been shot! I don't care about us getting penalties, but there's still 2 teams out there......lot's of stickwork that wasn't called till this period (and most on Montreal)

The problem with "tanking" a game is what happens next game? Can they get their game back to the level they were playing before easing off?

So McCabe take's a "lazy" penalty vs Germany; then when he comes out of the box (making it a 5 on 4) he doesn't even take a German player, or get out to the point..... And GErmany scores. Then Quinn [idiot] has him out there his next shift, and he coughs the puck up at the blueline.....causing a 2 on 1. And as I'm typing this he take a checking to the head penalty 2min [+ a 10 min misconduct (automatic) WHICH the way he's playing is a GOOD thing] Smarten up Quinn, your not coaching TO here.........................

McCabe is TERRIBLE 5 on 5.........and since it's "olympic" ice he'll be lost out there. Most of his points are on the PP, where he plays the whole 2 minutes [or close to it]..........
