  1. iBeast now face Manchester Monarchs (LA Farm club) starting April 27 in Brampton 7:15 and then Saturday in Brampton also 7:15. Get to see Anze Kopitar's brother Jesper again for Manchester. Free Parking, Free lineup sheets and mini program are a couple bonuses. Only negative is that I'd advise eating elsewhere pregame (limited expensive menu and only ketchup and mustard for the Dogs/Burgers). Seniors discount available. Box office is open one hr before game time. Platinum seats are wider and more padded that the others
  2. 3-1 win (all Beast goals in the third-Pither one, Marino two including an empty netter). Now we wait to see who we face based on the Manchester-Adirondack game Tuesday night
  3. Beast won 2-1 Sat night in double o/t with about 5 minutes to go in the second o/t period. Brandon MacLean scored both goals. Brampton now leads Reading 3 games to 2 with games 6 & 7 in Reading starting Monday. Listen in via the Beast website (Beast radio)
  4. Beast win 2-1 tonight to go ahead 2-1 in the series vs Reading
  5. Brampton just tied the series with Reading with a 2-1 o/t win. Jordan Henry from Connor Crisp unofficial?)
  6. I commented on Beaulieu's self centred attitude last game and I think tonight is reinforcing my thoughts. I never could see what MB saw in him based on watching him for a while in Hamilton. Offensive defenseman who needs a stay at home partner to cover his mistakes. He has no use as an offensive D man any longer. And is Max thinking too hard?
  7. D'Agostini in goal for Brampton tonight in Reading
  8. Beaulieu unfortunately is starting to look like he did at Hamilton. I always found him self centred in his AHL play and took way too many chances
  9. what did everyone think of the CBC announcing? Was Romanuk missed that much to encourage his return from exile from Europe. Thought the broadcasting team had a pro NY bias (or do they just favour whomever is leading). At least we didn't have to listen to Bob Cole who blundered his way through parts of the Ottawa game
  10. one game in and I'm already p.o'd at the officiating. The Danault penalty was called by an official with his back turned 45 degrees to the call. Ranger player more or less jumped over the stick and fell. What crap again. Watched a lot of the Ottawa game and the non calls against Boston were staggering
  11. somehow it was missed in the jubilation (lol) that the Beast ended up tying Reading for second but Reading won the tie breaker with more wins. Thus the series starts in Reading (two games-13th and 15th) with Brampton having games April 18, 20, & 22, then back to Reading for two more if necessary. It had even been announced at the arena that the first two would be in Brampton this Thurs and Saturday. Oi-Vay
  12. after a bad 4-1 loss Friday, the Beast won 5-4 over Manchester tonight. Playoffs will begin Thursday I believe.
  13. Billingsley (D Brampton) signed an ATO with the Ice Caps
  14. Beast win 5-2: stars Dagostini 35 saves, Vallorani and Auger (two goals each)
  15. when do you think we might see Fucale back to Brampton?
  16. signing Yann Danis was a bit of a puzzle for sure. Brampton have signed Brandon Billie who played for Cornwall of the FHL as back up goalie until Zach is back. Brampton leading 4-1 early in the third over Wheeling tonight.
  17. Beast win tonight in Reading PA 5-2 and have earned a playoff spot. David Pacan got 3 goals and two assists although broadcaster Chris Ballard thinks he actually scored another goal for which he only received credit for an assist. Remaining games next week at home vs Wheeling on the 5th and Manchester on the 7th and 8th. Special ticket deal available for the 8th-see the website-four seats, BK burgers, drinks for $40.00. Dags was great tonight. Interesting to see how the goalie situation will work out next week.
  18. tonight's Beast Backup goalie is Dalton izyk, a University goalie from Oswego NY who graduated this year from Robert Morris university in Moon (Pittsburgh) PA
  19. Beast won 5-2 in Cincy Wed. Went out to a 4-0 lead in the first period. D man Jordan Henry got a pair last night and the vet (used to see him play for Rochester vs Hamilton AHL) has a very impressive plus/minus considering the short bench the ECHL forces teams to play with (16 skaters and two goalies)
  20. Beast have signed Cincy native Tim Pitraniec (sp) as an emergency goalie backup. Played goal for St. FX 5 years ago
  21. Fucali from Brampton to Montreal today/ Labarbara (sp?) hurt???
  22. after a couple loses, Brampton won in Elmira tonight 6-2 to get near the top of the division again. I honestly didn't realize this might be the final (ever) meeting for the two teams. Apparently the Jackals are folding the end of this season and details are on Wikipedia. It will have Rochester and Buffalo looking for an ECHL home for players. That has been an odd area for minor league hockey lately with the AHL Binghamton Sens moving to Belleville Ont and Albany AHL moving to Binghamton next season. Back to the ECHL, perhaps Buffalo and the Amerks might hook up with one of the current ECHL teams with no affiliations
  23. Beast got a 7-6 OT win over Reading tonight after losing two on the road last week. Fucale was fighting the puck a bit. Beast were ahead 3-0 early in the first and I couldn't believe it was 5-5 at the end of two when I checked back. Pacan still playing well. MacLean too. See if Dags is in goal Friday for the rematch
