Or do you think they will double shift a forward? thoughts? MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced Wednesday that forward Michael Blunden has been recalled from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs. The 24-year old right winger registered eight points (3 goals and 5 assists) in 17 games with the Bulldogs this season. Blunden added 49 shots on goal. Blunden was first recalled by the Canadiens on October 23. He was held pointless in eight games. The 6’04’’ and 211 lbs forward served seven penalty minutes and totaled 14 hits, while averaging 5:01 of ice time per game. The Toronto-born Blunden was acquired from the Columbus Blue Jackets in return for Ryan Russell on July 7, 2011.

I was talking more for next year and meon has played very well and has played like a top nine on this team with everyone healthy i agree with ya darche to the press box. No need to pick anyone else up unless they bring in something that we don't have.

I was listening to the team 990 as well they suggested this as well maybe they should and double shift a forward and rotate gill emelin diaz and campoli in and out of the line up that way no one gets rusty or is the odd man out for long.

Komisarek learned very quickly with markov and played big mins against the big lines and thrived. yes gorges is not markov but is close in his own end. maybe those guy's would think about coming down his side of the ice?

Oh i agree we shouldn't rush our young guy's but emelin has played at a very high level and is ready now and gains nothing sitting in the press box. He is 25 not 20 has the size and what we lack as in a hitter back there. He can play on a bigger rink he can adjust easier to a smaller rink then the other way around.

If Emelin gets those minutes maybe he goes to a plus 3 with gorges. It is hard to get it going when you get sat all the time he is starting to put it together then wham grab some pine young man we don't like guy's that hit just ask kostitsyn

I am so with ya there. A cheap hard hitting 4th line with a very good faceoff guy centering the line would do this team wonders for teams like bruins,flyers. Example a player like greg stewart who we had and did his job dropping the gloves when needed. He is in the ahl now so he would and can handle 4 th line duties he skates well and brings the physical side of the game which we need. along with white he would have some back bone again without the dumb penalties

Diaz is on a 2 way contract and we can show case campoli for a trade. It is not a knock on diaz at all he has played well but we signed cc to be a top 4 d man and now he is our 7th?
