  1. please tell me this is a joke. I am gonna re-check this thread later in case I am having a bad dream.
  2. Grabovsky was not cut either...which is a bit odd considering his injury? May want to unclude him in the mix. Perzhogin can't go anywhere barring a trade so I would say he he staying. Downey on the other hand...
  3. try going in through yahoo.com...via games icon..that's what worked for me...you draft 4th...
  4. I can't get onto the yahoo server at all....hope it is back up very soon. actually I am on now. Hey JMMR you may have to upgrade Java?
  5. yes you set up a bunch of guys in "que" and it will draft for you...there is a time limit of 1 min 30 sec between picks but it usually goes much quicker. That HWL...or are you being sarcastic B)
  6. We can listen to the game while we draft
  7. I added Briere too, he has a great shot. I think mine was Aebischer (like Buffalo needs another goalie), Streit and Zednik for him. I then traded Ribs and a pick for MA Bergeron...who is really fast.
  8. The big question is whether Kostitsyn can be demoted rather than being waived. I like Kostitsyn but Latendresse has played better this preseason and is more deserving. Another option is only keeping 6 d-men until another injury (and there will be more injuries). That way all 3 of Kost, Latendresse and Downey stay. A third option is a forward is traded for a d-man...a trade along the lines of Hossa for Murray...but for a d-man. None of the 4 d-men have looked all that impressive. O'Byrne was the early favorite for 7th d-man but it looks more like Benoit or Jancevski now. Once Latendresse is sent back to junior there is no getting him back.
  9. Wow, looks like the "kids" are showing up the vets tonight...
  10. that probably explains why the Habs are playing all the rookies...Hope the Sens play their stars.
  11. Get this...CBC is recording the game, Cherry and all...but will not televise the game until October 1st. "Pretty Woman" is much more important.
  12. No it is perfect (for us east coasters) I hate western roadtrips cause games don't start until 1130pm. As for Halifax...they sell more tickets for major junior games than Hamilton does for AHL games. Yet all the talk is Hamilton deserves an NHL franchise. Hamilton didn't even come close to selling out the Pittsburgh game last night.
  13. Geez with that line-up I expect another losss. Looks like there will be quite a few cuts tomorrow and this game will decide who stands out above the rest.
  14. LOL...I have no idea what BST is. You should have Yahoo set to your own time zone. The draft is at 8 pm Eastern... tomorrow. If you are not online you can pre-rank your players so the computer will pick who you want for you.
  15. It's not on the local cable station in Nova Scotia either. It is not on CBC Radio. I e-mailed asking why they were showing an ancient movie instead of the game (after all this was the reward for winning "CBC's Hockeyville). No response yet...not surprised. Obviously they cannot blame it on "scheduled" programming as they are using the movie as filler.
  16. Hate to break the news to you guys but it is not on TV. I was pissed last night when I saw that CBC will be showing "Pretty Woman" instead. It was CBC's series but for some reason they are not showing the game. Not even in Hockeyville.
  17. Watching the game last night and Lats deserves to make the team. I would even promote both he and Kost and demote Perezhogin or Downey. He is has been the given the chance to make this team by playing a ton of minutes...it is his position to lose. Unless Perzhogin really turn things around in the next 4 games then he could be moved. Chipchura has proved he is not ready yet. Dittos for O'Byrne and Benoit...they did not impress me at all last night.
  18. I want to vomit...I was hoping for a turn-around this game and the PK continues to blow. another penalty!!!!!
  19. you gotta admit...he does have nice legs.
  20. I predict another player is signed or traded for. But with no changes...Jancevski is the more likely candidate. Benoit and O'Byrne are better off playing 20 mins a game in the AHL.
  21. I actually think Dreger is a Habs fan...could be wrong. He is told what to write by his leaf loving bosses.
  22. I disagree, 2-3 injuries up front and this team is in big trouble. You can only have so many young guys while staying competitive.
  23. It mentions in the article about player cuts that Grabovski is injured but does not say anything else. "Thirty-eight (38) players are still at training camp, including three injured players (Francis Bouillon, Jean-Philippe Côté, Mikhail Grabovski)."
