Ok, nevermind, I changed to Philly winning the series after a little research. Devils went 1-5 against the Flyers this season with most of those games being played late in the season (as in after Kovalchuk was acquired and after Emery went down). Both the Devils and Lemaire have lame track records in the playoffs lately anyway. To be honest, as long as Vancouver doesn't run into Detroit, I think they've got the best shot at the Cup. And now I see sakiqc beat me to that little tidbit while I was sitting here staring at my post.

To be fair, it used to travel around up until 2005. It ran into trouble in the late 90s and was cancelled. Then it came back in 2003. 2004 again saw low ticket sales so it was cancelled and then they re-invented it into what it is now. My cousin goes every year (Coachella too).

Lollapalooza is only in Chicago. They're playing at Coachella, Sasquatch and Bonnaroo as well. I would love to spend one entire summer and see all four. I mostly want to get to Coachella though. But yeah, Lollapalooza has a good lineup. The xx, Phoenix, Arcade Fire, MGMT (although I'm not sure what to make of their new album right now), Stars, Matt & Kim, Metric and a reformed Soundgarden amongst others. Lady Gaga is kind of out of place there though. Really excited for new Kate Nash this month and new Broken Social Scene next month. Especially Broken Social Scene since they're finally going to have a song that puts Feist, Amy Millan and Emily Haines together.

Yeah, I think it was something like she's working on a new non-Potter book right now and she'd be open to another Potter book in 10 years. Atleast thats what it said in the paper this morning. Another Potter book could be anything though, The Tales of Beedle the Bard can be considered a Potter book. Like many fans, I'd be up for a prequel about when his mom and dad went to Hogwarts.

I know, Philly fans hated him right from draft day. He's turned out to be a better pick then Ricky Williams in every way imaginable but the Eagles fans always found a way to be down on him. I've actually always been a big McNabb fan. Had his jersey in grade 11, I pretty much wore it all the time even though I'm a Jets fan. I've got one of those big posters of him in my room though, the ones that you stick to the wall. Now that he's with a different team, I think I might take it down. It looks kind of weird when the walls are painted like a giant Avs jersey.

Yeah, I had to watch myself yesterday at Easter dinner. Calgary had already lost so everyone there was pretty down but they were all sure San Jose would beat us. I kept telling them we played them tight all year and had a good shot at winning but no one believed me. Check the score a couple hours later, it's 4-2 for the Avs. I had a mini celebration. Although I came home and saw the Sharks came back but whatever we still won. What sucks though is Mueller is out indefinitely with a concussion. Apparently Blake laid down a dirty hit but wasn't penalized. That Wolski/Mueller trade has been fantastic for both teams. Mueller compliments Duchene much better then Wolski did, 20 points in 15 games. But I'm pretty sure Wolski has been great for the Yotes as well. The magic number is 4 right now. 2 Colorado wins, 2 Calgary losses or 1 of each puts us in the playoffs.

Kolb was named the starter a couple weeks ago, they're sticking with him. He should develop into a good QB in this league anyway, the Eagles will be fine. I just think McNabb was worth a bit more.

The Flames don't have shit, Kiprusoff is dragging this team into the playoffs with everything he has. Washington, Phoenix and my boys were all the better teams in their games against Calgary and deserved a better fate. Kipper is the only reason they're still in this thing. Calgary has Chicago next who they're always terrible against and we've got the Sharks who we've played close all season. Colorado still has a game against the Oilers left too with a game in hand which could prove crucial. Calgary has nothing but tough teams left (Chicago, San Jose, Minnesota and Vancouver, I think) Last night was intensely demoralizing to me but I'm still holding out hope. Even if Colorado doesn't make it, I won't be mad at them. They're a young team that hasn't dealt with this kind of pressure before, this slide is good for them in the long run. We're gonna be a pretty good team in the future. Calgary I was hoping would miss. If they squeak in, thats justification to not really change things around. Miss the playoffs and heavy changes would happen this summer which they need. To be honest, I'm just kind of hating the Flames right now though.

No, losing Phanuef really isn't a big deal. The guy is a complete asshole in person (I have a lot of stories from my cousin who worked at the Talisman Centre before they started the renovations. Lots of Flames did their workouts there) and his play is miles behind what it was before he signed his contract. Regehr has looked a little lost all season but I'm just pegging that up to an off year. Giordano has been the Flames most consistent d-man all season and is probably pretty underrated by the league at this point. TSN has him going to play for Canada at the World's. And then theres White too. The defence is fine without Phanuef. These forwards though are a mess, Darryl Sutter has to be the only person in the world that thinks Matt Stajan is a legit #1 C. He's a decent #2 but more of a #3.
