I suspect Koivu on the third line will be a good thing for him, give him some reduced minutes, let him play PP and PK. A couple games ago Koivu had 2 goals. If Koivu was the captain and was making 2.5-3million would people be calling for his head?

I agree with PP here. Why is the system never changed to have the forwards cycle back to get the pucks from the defence? Instead they have two forecheckers up their asses constantly.

The other day CBC talked to Jacques Demere's and asked him if there was reason to question Koivus leadership. He said no, not every captain is a ra-ra, take a guy by the throat captain, most of the greatest captains he coached said they show it on the ice. I happen to take Demere's at his word, he'd know more than all of us. The debate is heart, not leadership. We need heart from players, Koivu despite all people's opinion here, shows heart, he's just a broken down player, having to play a role, he was never designed for. If players need a captain to make them play with heart, what does that say about the players themselves? I say give Max a 'A', take it off Komi, he's been terrible this season.

If both goalies are gonna be sub-par, I'd want Price in, I believe he has more potential than Halak, nothing against Halak.

I know it's a long shot, but I hope PK Suban really knocks the socks off the coaches this training camp, he is the puck moving defenceman that we need.

Oh don't lay this on the defense...the forwards NEVER help the defense out...they stay out at the centre line waiting for a pass instead of skating back like NORMAL effin teams!

I'm, for the first time starting to question Koivus talent. The habs always have two players behind the net and no one in front of it. Don't they understand you can't score from behind the net.

Not really, look at the last few games, his glove has been fine, lately his 5 hole is where he has had trouble.

Komi is seriously the worst shot in the NHL.

Do the players understand that not everyone makes the playoffs? That you actually have to win games to get in? Time to call up some kids, sit some vets. They're coasting out there, may as well get the kids some game experience.

They need to shoot every chance they get just shoot, they are doing more harm trying to dangle, getting stripped and causing 3 on 2 and 2 on 1's the other way.

Well the fluff goal was Halak, the other goal he had very little chance on. The biggest thing this team is missing is shooting. They constantly look for the best shot, someday they will realize that you don't get more pts if its a pretty goal compared to an ugly one. Throw it on the net, crash the net, the habs always make one too many passes.

Watching the leafs get the puck out of their own end, the defense makes a 5 foot pass to the forward whos back in the defensive zone, compared to Montreals defense who has to make a what 30 foot pass to the forwards who are on the leafs side of centre? I understood the conversation quite well, the general tone was, all this was on Price. I defended him, and I said if Halak proved me wrong, I'd admit Price was the problem.

Lots of people the after thursdays game was saying, that once Halak in net things would be different. Here we are down 2-0 after the first period, same old Habs, different goalie. Halak looked shakey on everything tonight, he's lucky it's not 3-0 on two weak goals.

Is everyone ready to admit that everything wasn't Price fault yet? That the problems on this team is not as simple as the goalie?
